Born in Darkness quest rewards 3 items:

Aspects and Fragments (see Aspects and Fragments Guide)
Duskfield Grenade - second Stasis grenade
Coldsnap Grenade - third Stasis grenade

Born in Darkness

You’ll first need to collect 50 Energized Ether by defeating Fallen and get 10 Stasis melee final blows on Europa. Head to the Eventide Ruins and Cadmus Ridge to find Fallen enemies.
Next, play 3 playlist Strikes with Stasis and defeat 60 targets affected by Stasis.
Defeat the Weniks platoon near the Crux of Darkness in Eternity. You can get to Eternity through Bray Exoscience, just follow the quest marker.
Take the Skeleton Key to the Exo Stranger in the Bunker W15 Lost Sector in Eventide Ruins. The Lost Sector has you free BrayTech Security Frames and complete the Lost Sector to meet with the Exo Stranger.
Next, head back to Beyond to meet with the Exo Stranger again to get the Aspect of Control quest step. You’ll also get Born in Darkness Part 2.

How to Get Stasis Grenades

Completing born in Darkness Part 2 and Part 3 rewards players with Duskfield on Coldsnap grenades.

Born in Darkness Part 2

Now, players will need to defeat 50 Vex on Europa and get Stasis final blows by shattering enemies on Europa. The best way to do this is by heading to Asterion Abyss and the Nexus, you’ll find the most Vex there.
Play 3 playlist activities with the Stasis subclass equipped and defeat 60 combatants affected by Stasis. You’ll get the most efficient progress by defeating Guardians in Crucible playlists. If you’re having a hard time then switch over to the Strikes playlist.
House of Salvation Fallen platoon in Riis-Reborn near the Crux of Darkness need to be defeated.
Part 4 has players complete the Perdition Lost Sector in Cadmus Ridge and bring the Skeleton Key to the Exo Stranger. You can find the quest marker on the map.
Speak with the Exo Stranger to complete part 2. You now have the Duskfield Grenade.

Born in Darkness Part 3

Defeat 30 Vex and 30 Fallen on Europa and 20 targets that are affected with Stasis. Players can find both Vex and Fallen enemies in Cadmus Ridge. Players can also divide and conquer by heading to Asterion Abyss for Vex and Eventide Ruins for Fallen.
The second step asks players to complete 3 Gambit matches with Stasis and get 60 Stasis final blows.
There is another platoon you’ll need to defeat the Teraks platoon in Eternity, Bray Exoscience. You can get to Bray Exoscience through Cadmus Ridge.
Lastly, play through the Concealed Void Lost Sector in Asterion Abyss to meet with the Exo Stranger.
Talk to the Exo Stranger to get the Coldsnap Grenade.

Born in Darkness Part 4

First, get 50 Stasis final blows on Europa. This is fairly easy when you find rally public event flags and defeat nearby targets.
With Stasis equipped, complete 3 Nightfall Strikes on any difficulty. Also, players will need to defeat 60 combatants affected by Stasis.
Like the other Born in Darkness quests, this one tells you to defeat the House Salvation platoon. Go to the Crux of Darkness in Creation at the Bray Exoscience facility.
Now, bring the Skeleton Key to the Exo Stranger by the Clovis AI.
Visit the Exo Stranger in Beyond to get the Aspect of Destruction quest.

Step 1: Defeat Vex and Fallen on Europa and Use Stasis Abilities

To unlock another portion of the journal, you will once again need to begin empowering the Skeleton Key. To do this it is believed that power exists within a being in some form. This leads to the need to try defeating Vex and Fallen to be sure.

You will need to head over to Europa and find Vex and Fallen to defeat as well as affect enemies using Stasis abilities.

Step 2: Complete Gambit Activities With Stasis Subclass and Use Stasis Abilities

Now that you have begun to empower the Skeleton Key, another way to do so will be during Gambit matches. The enemies found in Gambit matches are known to be brimming with Darkness energy and the Exo Stranger pins this as your next goal.

You will need to complete Gambit matches with the Stasis subclass equipped and also deal Stasis final blows to combatants.

Step 3: Defeat Teraks’s Platoon Near the Crux of Darkness in Eternity

With the Skeleton Key almost ready, it is believed that to boost it once again, you will need to defeat the Salvation Elite Captain, Teraks. Only by doing this will the Skeleton Key have enough power to unlock the next portion of the journal.

You will need to head over to the Crux of Darkness in Eternity and locate Teraks and his platoon to clear them out.

Step 4: Bring The Skeleton Key To The Exo Stranger in the Concealed Void

The Skeleton Key is now fully empowered and now it is time for you to help the Exo Stranger unlock the next portion of the journal. She will be waiting for you in the Concealed Void, and along with her will be her sister Ana Bray.

Head over to the Concealed Void Lost Sector in Asterion Abyss and speak with the Exo Stranger.

Step 5: Regroup with the Exo Stranger in Beyond

After unlocking another portion of the journal, the Exo Stranger finally came clean to Ana Bray about the truth. Things didn’t go so well though but the Exo Stranger still has discovered more about Stasis and is ready to give you yet another Stasis-related gift.

It is time to head back to Beyond so you can speak with the Exo Stranger.

Born In Darkness Part 3 Quest Rewards

Once you have completed Born in Darkness Part 3, you will be rewarded with another Stasis Grenade from the Exo Stranger.

Additionally, the Born in Darkness Part 4 quest becomes unlocked after you have completed the quest.

Summary

It seems that Ana Bray could not handle all of the truth that the Exo Stranger had to tell her and this could lead to a much darker path.

The Exo Stranger will be needing your help soon again to prevent Ana Bray from heading down a dangerous path of no return.
