Here's how you can open the barrier to Renna's Rise in Elden Ring for her questline.

Renna's Rise is one of those locations in Elden Ring you can reach fairly easily, but won't be able to unlock until completing several steps, including defeating specific bosses. Moreover, some of these bosses are extremely difficult and found in mid and endgame, so you'll only be able to enter Renna's Rise after several dozens hours spent in the Lands Between. Removing the barrier from Renna's Rise

First, you must obtain the Fingerslayer Blade in Nokron Eternal City. If you don't have access to Nokron Eternal City yet, then after defeating Radahn, go to where the star fell to enter Nokron.

After entering Nokron, defeat the skeletons and Mimic Tear as you proceed, then turn left to go along the destroyed bridge. Keep going until you can turn left again and take that turn. Keep going until the singing woman then turn left again, you'll find the Ancestral Woods site of grace. After that, you'll have to cross several platforms and defeat several Mimic Tears. Keep going until you reach a room with priests. Defeat them or ignore them and run past the room to find several Mimic Tears moving around. Follow them as they will lead you to the building with the Fingerslayer Blade inside a treasure chest.

Next, you need to go back to Ranni and give her the Fingerslayer Blade. Ranni will give you the Carian Inverted Statue in exchange. Now go to the Divine Tower of Liurnia and enter the secret area in the study hall by using the Carian Inverted Statue. Clear this area and you'll obtain the Cursed Death Mark. Now, you'll be able to enter Renna's Rise and the barrier will have disappeared.

Renna's Rise Walkthrough

This tower can be accessed by progressing through the Ranni the Witch questline. This Tower can be accessed once players reach the Divine Tower of Liurnia as part of Ranni's quest. This occurs after defeating Radahn and giving the Fingerslayer Blade to Ranni. After this, players can make their way and take the ladders to the top of the interior tower. There will be a chest that will contain the Snow Witch Set. Map Link

If the barrier is still there after completing the quest with Ranni, you'll need to visit a Site of Grace to reset the area.

During the questline, you may also gain access to the portal located at a higher part of the tower. Go through the arched doorway out the tower after using the ladders to climb. Take the stairs that wrap around the external part of the tower and there will be a portal that can be used to travel to another location.

There is a ledge near an open window on the top of that tower, and you will have to use the Spirit Spring to reach it. You will have access to Lenne's Rise if you do it correctly.
