My husband and I are going to be inAnaheim for four days. One or two days are allocated to Disney activities, but we would also like to travel around a bit. Problem, we don't have a car. Is there a public transport from Anaheim to Huntington Beach? Show Could you please direct us to right web sites or give some other information. Thank you. Report inappropriate content

From an app on your smartphone, you can request a vehicle. It arrives in a few minutes. During that time you can see the vehicles location as it approaches. You can text or call the driver. An UberX fromDisneyland to the Huntington Beach Pier is about $22. If you are in California without a car, you need to have this on your phone. There is another local service called Lyft. You can get public transit information on your smartphone. Open the Map app. Enter your starting and ending points. Click Route and select Transit. You get multiple options of 2-3 buses taking about two hours. HTH Report inappropriate content

Re: From Anaheim to Huntington Beach 4 years ago Save If you want to make a day of it you might enjoy the OC Beach Tour withthe Anaheim Tour Company. They pick up at many hotels and you spend the day visiting Laguna, Newport and Huntington beaches. Laguna is a brief photo stop only maybe 30 mins or so, Huntington and Newport allowed 2+ hours at each beach. We enjoyed it as we too weren't driving and it allowed a nice visit to several beaches. The driver offers local information on the way there but once at the beaches you are off on your own free to explore. It was very reasonably priced. https://anaheimtourcompany.com/ Report inappropriate content

OC Beach Tour looks very interesting as it's a whole day tour and takes you to most interesting places, and is the easiest option. Thanks for that info. I know about Uber and Lyft but we dont have an account with them. I believe that you need to be registered or signed in and be able to pay the trip when you book it. I may be wrong. Re: From Anaheim to Huntington Beach 4 years ago Save You sign up and put in a credit card number. When you use the app, it senses where you are (or you can tell it) and you tell it where you are going. it tells you how much it will cost. After you are there, it charges that amount to your credit card. You do not have to have any cash on hand. It costs US$2.10 base charge, plus US$0.90 per mile (1.6 km), plus US$0.15 per minute, and there is a minimum charge of around US$6.00. Edited: 4 years agoReport inappropriate content

Re: From Anaheim to Huntington Beach 4 years ago Save We use Uber at home quite often because it isn't much more expensive than parking in some areas in So Cal and I drink wine without worrying about driving home. Re: From Anaheim to Huntington Beach 4 years ago Save The problem is that public transport will eat up your whole day if you let it. FromDisneyland to the Huntington Pier takes 25-30 minutes by car. By bus it takes an 1.75 to 2.25 hours. Novel suggestion, depending on how active you are: rent bicycles in Anaheim, ask the bike rental place to give you a safe route to the Santa Ana River Trail, and bike to Huntington Beach (the end of the trail is at the border of Huntington Beach and Newport Beach). It'll still take you an hour, but you'll get some sun and fresh air. SART is a completely road-separated bike path along the river, so there's no traffic to contend with once you get there.
