Archived My friend and I want to buy a realm so that we can play together on different devices and without both of us being online simultaneously. We have a world already (on my Xbox One) that I want to turn into a realm. If I purchase a realm, when it runs out will all the save data be gone? Let me know please thank you. This thread is archived New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast level 1 It wont, once its over you can download the world level 1 Once the subscription is over or it expires, 30 days after (or so) the realm will still be available for the owner to download or change the options. Everything but joining. After that it's gone. level 1 If you purchase a realm and you let it expire, it will still appear like a realm but it will not let you play on it. And yes the data will be saved however you will not be able to play on it. You will need to download the world before it expires that way it saves the world and puts it back where all your other worlds are. level 2 so if u download it after it expires.. youβve lost everything? cuz i canβt seem to replace it with my downloaded saveπ₯² For the Bedrock Edition-exclusive Realms service, see Realms Plus. Minecraft Realms is an official subscription-based server hosting service that allows players to create and manage their own private Minecraft servers. Hosted by Mojang, Realms provides a simple way to create servers and allows the owner to manage them from inside the game, without knowledge of hosting on the internet. In Java Edition, Realms also allow players to choose from a list of minigames to play temporarily, as well as several pre-made world templates, adventure maps, experience maps, and inspiration maps, all made by Realms community map makers. Maps on Java Edition are updated by Mojang sporadically, ranging from a few days to as recently as one to two months. Realms are not intended for large public servers, but for groups of friends or as a family server.[1] Requirements[]Realms is a service that can be used only by players who meet these requirements:[2]
Subscriptions[]The subscription screen in-game, accessed through the Configuration menu. Manage the Realms subscriptions here.Realms is a subscription-based service. The link above goes to the player's Minecraft account page, which offers options to extend a current subscription or buy a new one ($3.99 per month in Bedrock Edition, and $7.99 per month in Java Edition).[3][4] There are two types of subscriptions in Java Edition: a reoccurring monthly charge that automatically renews the subscription every 30 days (this can be canceled at any time), or a one-time charge that comes in 30-day, 90-day, and 180-day packages and needs to be renewed manually.[4] All players are able to have a 30-day free Realms trial, providing they have not already had a free trial on their account before.[4] Using Realms[]Maps[]This section is missing information about maps that were added to Java Realms in 2013, March 2017, and March 2018, as well as the current availability of maps. Please expand the section to include this information. Further details may exist on the talk page. Users can choose to temporarily replace their world with a Minigame or permanently replace their world with maps from the following categories: World templates, Adventures, Experiences, or Inspiration. Most commands or options cannot be used while the realm is running a minigame. These maps are selected from community submissions by the Minecraft Content Team. Certain maps may not be available on Realms due to being phased out or incompatible with the current update. Users cannot delete a map, but they can reset it. 2013-2014[]

Minigames[]Some of the maps listed above are classified as minigames. Each Realm has a separate minigame slot in addition to the regular world slots, allowing minigames to be temporarily activated at any time with minimal disruption. Unlike regular worlds, minigames do not save players' progress, and they reset whenever all players log out. The list of available minigames can be viewed in-game, along with the number of supported players. However the information about each minigame is limited and the list is not sortable. Limitations[]Although Realms is hosted by Mojang, and therefore safe and secure, it has some limitations. These limitations can be avoided by using standalone server software or a third-party hosting website.
Video[]History[]Realms version history[]It has been suggested that this section be split into its own page. Do realms stay on 24 7?Your Realm will be online 24/7, so anyone that you've invited to join you will be able to play for free whenever they choose, regardless if you're there or not.
Do Minecraft Realms get deleted?Your Realm will still exist if you do not migrate, and you can access it again after migrating your account and resubscribing to Realms. However, if your subscription has lapsed for 18 months, your Realm will be deleted from Minecraft servers and will remain unrecoverable.
Are Minecraft realm worlds infinite? However, in most editions of Minecraft, the worlds are not actually infinite. They are just big. In Minecraft Bedrock Edition, however, the worlds are infinite, and it can seriously mess with your game because of that.
What happens to a realm when it expires? That means that whenever a Realm hits the canceled or expired 18-month mark, it will be deleted. If you have any questions about canceled or expired realms you can contact customer support here: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/requests/new.
