The seats were super narrow with very cramped leg room. To add insult to discomfort , I learned just after take off on the American flight to LA that our dogs got loose at home and the person caring for them was frantic. I had to purchase in flight WIFI ($16/ hour $18 for the entire flight) to attend to the Lost dog issue (hugely stressful) only to learn after the flight that $300 worth of fraudulent charges occurred during the flight that my bank’s fraud department claims occurred as a result of entering my card information to purchase the internet access. That depleted the majority of our travel budget. (We live paycheck to paycheck and had pinched & saved to be able attend this special event) I was so apprehensive on the returning flight and can’t describe my relief to learn the WIFI was free. So, let's start with the good. Excellent variety of entertainment, nice staff & the snacks decent enough. Now the bad, the seats were the most uncomfortable seats I think I have ever personally had to sit in. The non-existent leg room is another issue. The last part can we get the people on & off the plane a bit faster. I had this elderly gentleman who was attempting to get his luggage out of the overhead bin about 6 people in front of me when trying to get off the plane that was having trouble no crew member and unfortunately no one on the plane stepped up to help him so we all had to wait to get off the plane until I pushed my way past the people standing there to help the guy. This should be something the flight attendants should help with to move the process along. The final thing, REMOVE THE STUPID MASKS. The flight attendants are sitting around in the back during the flight no mask on talking and chit chatting, being closer then 6 feet. You must see the irony in this already. Let people who want to be scared be scared and wear a mask and let people who have an immune system not wear a mask. Its over and done with. We need to move on.

I could have gotten to a near city several hours after but on the same day, but the mediocrecy of this employes did not allow me to get there until the next day at 7 am. Happy new year to me. I will sue them, I had an under age waiting for me in Cancun and a pet with me!. With no food or access to do its necessities. AND THERE WAS AN OPTION THAT "they missed" on porpuse."

Ten days prior to the flight I called AeroMexico to cancel and they said there would be a cancellation penalty, which was fine. I called and emailed to complain but they did nothing but pass me to someone else who was equally unhelpful. I will never fly AeroMexico for any reason in the future."

Cons: "I received somewhat bad service at every point of contact with United. My flight was canceled in Houston, so I forced to stay overnight. I asked the rep at the customer service station if United pays for a hotel room if our flight gets canceled, I was told no. There were several canceled flights, do all the hotels were booked in the area. It was up to me to call every hotel in a 10 mile radius at midnight to find a room. I had to come out of pocket 150 dollars for the room and I missed work the following day due to my canceled flight. I was forced to stay in a hotel room with none of my clean clothes, no toiletries. I was told by a united rep, "we get off at midnight so you won't be able to get your suitcase today". All in all, it was one of the worst flying experiences I have ever had. I would like some one to call or email me."

Cons: "Rows 20 to the back of the plane didn't get a beverage. Slow moving attendant. I was thirsty."

Cons: "flight crew could give a sh!t. Had to connect and came in late, made no assistance to get connecting passengers off first. Tv option sucks. Have to pay to watch anything. Couldn't even watch plane progress. Pay for that too. Only thing on is a cooking show. And yes you have to pay for food. Interesting. Food is decent though. That was a plus. All but one of the crew seemed pissed about being there. I know passengers suck. At least the guy that looked like Tim meadows from snl was nice. A 5 hour flight and they plane has no wifi (I get it) but also no charging ports??? Just gives the feeling of being held hostage for 5 hours and the only savior is your Visa. I'd hate to see how parents with kids handle it."

Since the plan was not full we waited on the plain for an hour in half for more passengers before take off. There is no really food choices. Only junk food for purchase. Then after all of that, they offered not even water (for free) on their four hour flight. I understand delays happen - but consider offering a little something to your customers when this kind of event happens!"

On the return flight at check in I was informed that they believed I had not used their airline to fly out and my return flight was cancelled because of that. After producing my boarding pass Nothing was done to get me home. The solutions provided at the check in counter were not acceptable. "We have another flight 24 hours from now, no we won't find you a hotel room" "We can refund you 1/4 the cost of a new different flight to get you home since we messed up" "We can put you on stand by incase people don't show up for the flight" Ultimately these morons paid several passengers to get off the plane to get me and my companion home. Giving these other passengers more than what I was requesting to begin with including a slightly later flight on a different carrier and a round trip voucher for later use on spirit. This is the worst run and least efficient airline I have EVER used. I will never use spirit again."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed, then the aircraft we were on had to make an emergency landing were we were there for 5 hours before a new aircraft had came to pick us up. It was a huge hassle there was no commication. This delay caused all connecting flights to be missed. What should have been a 6 hour flight turned into two days of flying. This caused unnessary stress and a huge headache to made sure we made it on time where we needed to be. Some issues are uncontrollable but it could have been handled so much better. This was a long flight of waiting around for flights, planes, and to even our luggage which took an hour to retrieve."

And Spirit does not permit you to use a boarding pass on your phone, you must waste natural resources & print. Unfortunately, we had a problem while returning our rental car, so we were later to the kiosk than planned. So, we had to wait in line to ask an employee at the counter to print out boarding passes. Thanks to the kind passengers of LAX airport letting us jump in line several times, we made our flight just as doors closed."

The other passenger had a backpack and large duffle bag that my larger than my luggage but because his was "soft" he wasn't charged. I feel that it was outside of your guidelines and not fair and probably took place because the female associate checking him in was being flirtatious. I was excited to train out his airline but was extremely disappointed."

Cons: "First my flight was canceled do to " weather conditions" even though all other airlines were flying out to the same city. When I asked for help the desk attendant said I can look on my phone for available flights. So I didn't feel like the staffed cared at all. The flight back went without a delay but the airplane felt very cramped and with no entertainment to distract us from our 4 hour flight. When I did finally order a coffee and muffin the flight attendant staired at me like I wasn't speaking English. And passed everything to me 1 by 1 in the most awkward uncomfortable way. I don't know how exactly to describe it but it was incredibly strange and not very professional. Over all I won't be flying with this airline again."

Cons: "I was charged $12 for my seat like it was an upgrade- tiny seat that didn't even recline! Most uncomfortable I've ever been on a plane. I was also going to be charged $52 for each checked bag...??? When I told the woman at the counter that it was $31 online she was nice enough to only charge me that much, but what is that all about??!! My bag was 29 pounds, no where near the limit- $52??!! Ridiculous. Staff wasn't rude or anything but they weren't friendly either, just kind of blah. No in flight entertainment, not even free water. Not a great experience. I'll spend the extra money next time to be comfortable."

Pros: "One of my suitcases got left behind but it came in on a latter flight. My brother in law came in on that flight so he was able to pick it up for me. Saved the airline money on a courier from Houston to Galveston. I still don't have my clothes will pick them up at the ship. I called them to see if they would comp all my luggage on the way back but they wouldn't. I will never fly spirit airlines again. Thought I was getting a good deal on the flight but didn't with there expensive bag check on policy. $166 for three bags then I have to pay the same on the way home. What a rip off"

For our flight to late because another airplane was blocking the jetway is poor management. Also, I know it costs a penny or so to transport soda on the airplane, but since very few people made purchases on the flight, it made no difference. So I think you could cut back a little on the idea of making the traveler pay for every little thing. The sodas are going to be there either way."

Cons: "The flight to Chicago was delayed 1 hour. I had an horrible experience with the return flight, they first delayed it 2 hours, then 3 hours, then 4 hours... I spent 5 hours in the airport before I gave up on them and cancelled my flight back. I had to buy a ticket from another company.... Also the ticket price is misleading because they charge you for carry-on luggage (like 50 USD). During the flight they even charge you for water, which is free in other airlines :-("

A couple minutes later some guy (not sure if he really was the manager) was rude as well while talking to him. I've never traveled with Spirit. One of the workers later in the day after I told her my experience so far told me whispering "a lot of people don't like Spirit Airlines". Umm, hello? You know you have a bad reputation?!?!? Worst experience ever traveling. Makes you appreciate the real airlines. I don't think this airline is going to last. It'll save people a lot of headaches if they don't."

Pros: "Customer service in Manila speaks with heavy accent talks so loud. Do not undestand what they are saying. Then they became rude, asked for supervisor, they refused. Oversea customer service may be cheaper labor for the co, your customers have hard time understanding them. How can we use spirit? My mother handicapped senior ended up missing the flight because customers service put on a hold for 75 minutes. I called them to speak to a manager refused first time then put me on hold for an hour. I will put this terrible process experience on google, so people should, must know especially if this is concerning children or elderly seniors. The higher management should acknowledge and be accountable for people suffer great deal."

They put me in a hotel an hour away with a shuttle that ran every 2 hours so I was able to sleep for 3 hours. Second experience... 5 hour delay from 730p to 12:30p departure. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Never booking spirit again. Absolute garbage airline."

Pros: "Nonstop flights from LAX to KC leaving and returning at reasonable times. I went to Ross and bought the largest bag I could find that met the personal item size restriction. Otherwise, all my ticket savings would have been used up by the small amount of luggage permitted. Feels like nickle and diming. I don't think this M.O. can last because people won't come back if they feel ripped off."

Cons: "The Spirit flight was delayed. No text or email from the airline though they had my info supposedly for that purpose. I found out by looking online right before we would have left to go to the airport. 1 1/2 hour delay. When I arrived at the airport, the monitors said the plane was now delayed 2 1/2 hours beyond initial departure time. Still no text or email. When I checked online, there was no update indicating the later departure time. Obviously, my time spent cooling my heels around the airport was of no concern to the airline. Also, led to me eating overpriced airport food rather than food at home when the delay pushed the flight into the dinner hour."
