How much is in a drink on the rocks?

When liquor is ordered neat or on the rocks, it's a 2-ounce pour. This is for two reasons. The first is that the liquor is the only liquid in the glass, so you get a little more of it. To avoid looking like you're sipping on a shot.

Why is a drink on the rocks more expensive?

You're paying for more liquor! It all depends on the bar's drink pour. If you get a whiskey soda, most spots will pour 1.5 ounces of whiskey over ice and then top with club soda. If you order whiskey on the rocks, the pour can be a half-ounce more, which is the reason for the upcharge.

How much is a shot on the rocks?

As a general rule, shots of liquor are 1 ½ ounces, while a “neat” pour (a spirit served solo in a tumbler) is slightly larger at two ounces. This two-ounce pour also applies to most single-spirit drinks ordered “on the rocks” (with ice) or “up” (stirred with ice to chill and dilute, then strained).

How many drinks are in on the rocks cocktails?

The lineup of On the Rocks cocktails range from single-size 100 milliliter bottles up to 375 milliliters for three to four drinks.
