How to organize a 6 slot golf bag

Hey, everyone.

I recently upped my bag game, going from a reliable, 3-year-old Titleist stand bag with a 5-way top cuff divider to a new Players 4 Plus stand bag. My old bag served me very well, but it was a little on the heavy side. I love to walk, so I've opted for the new technology and lighter construction of the new Players 4 Plus.

I'm always curious about gear choices and the different ways that golfers organize and fill their bags out, so when I made the switch, I decided to document how my clubs fit best in the Players 4 Plus and how I'm going to make best use of the bag's seven storage compartments. Hope you like the gallery below:

My 14 clubs. Originally I put my hybrid in the top-most divider, with my driver and fairway metal, but I'm liking it better stored in the same middle divider as my 4- and 5-iron. 1/10

I carry 4-6 Titleist Players gloves and rotate them to extend the life of each glove. I keep my gloves in the original packaging and then store them together in a zip-lock bag. 7/10

Do you think I'm doing it right? Please let me know how you organize your bag and let me know what's worked for you and what hasn't. Curious to see your setups and the favorite accessories you rely on, so please share some photos, too.

Thanks!

Which clubs go in which slots in a golf bag?

The top slot goes furthest into the bag so that it can offer your long clubs the most protection. Next, come your irons and short irons. Short irons can go a little bit lower if you have enough slots. Last are your wedges, which are the shortest clubs in your set.

How do you arrange golf clubs in a golf bag?

The longest clubs should go in first. If you're using a cart bag or one with individual dividers for each club, place your driver in the top left slot closest to the shoulder strap. Then, add your woods and other clubs in descending order. In short, longer clubs should always be in the back near the shoulder straps.

What goes where in your golf bag?

You want to put your taller clubs, the driver and fairway woods, in the back of the bag. Medium-sized clubs, your irons, should go in the middle. The irons and woods are numbered, so if you want to be particular about club arrangement you can put them in numerical order.

How do you organize your clubs in a 5 hole bag?

5-way golf bags You place your low lofted golf clubs in the most spacious compartment. Next, the middle left slot keeps your long irons or hybrids, while the right side caters to your mid and short irons. Lastly, the front slot is built for wedges.
