How to send TikTok video in Messenger iPhone

This wikiHow teaches you how to share a video from TikTok using Facebook Messenger on an iPhone or iPad. You can use the Share menu on TikTok to instantly send any video to your friends.

Steps

   Open TikTok on your iPhone or iPad. The TikTok icon looks like a white "d" with blue and red outlines on a black background. You can find it on your home screen, or in an app folder on your home screen.

   Find the video you want to send. You can send any video from the Home feed, open a video from the Discover page, or open a video from any user's profile.

   Tap the white

   
   icon on the right-hand side. You can find this button near the bottom-right corner when you're playing it in full-screen. It will open your sharing options on a pop-up menu.

   Tap Messenger in the pop-up. The Messenger icon looks like a white speech bubble on a blue button with a blue thunderbolt in it. Find and tap it on the app list here to send the video to a friend on Messenger.

   • If you're prompted, tap Open in the pop-up.
   • This will switch you to the Messenger app, and open your friend list.

   Tap the SEND button next to a friend. This is a blue button on the right-hand side of your screen. It will instantly send the selected TikTok video to this friend as a direct Messenger message.

   • The blue SEND button will turn into a gray SENT message.
   • Optionally, you can use the search bar at the top of your friend list here, and quickly find anybody on your friend list.

I don’t know if anyone else has this issue but a while ago I updated both apps and now I can’t send a tik tok directly through to messenger, I need to copy the link and paste it through that way, is there a fix for this?

March 2022 and now it'll share a "default link" to TikTok, but not a direct link to a specific video. Ugh.

Happening here. Odd thing is the wife and I have identical iPhones but hers will send the TikTok videos in Messenger. She isn’t up to date on her iOS so am guessing Apple broke the feature with an iOS update?
