Depending on which device you’re playing Madden 23 on, you’ll need to do slightly different actions to taunt and celebrate:

  • PC: Left-mouse button + Left-Ctrl.
  • Play Station: L2+R2+X.
  • Xbox: LT+RT+A.

By doing these actions, you are celebrating but do not forget that even during the celebration, you can and should control your character. Of course, if you are already at the finish line or it is the end of the game, you can celebrate at any time. But if you want to do it during a match, try to be more careful. During the celebration, you slow down a bit, and as a result, the enemy defender will be able to catch up with you and intercept the ball.

By the way, you can celebrate in a slightly different way. Once you’ve almost reached the end zone, hold down Square on the Play Station or X on the Xbox to make you look spectacular when you cross the line.

Upon reaching the final zone, you will be asked to choose one of four types of celebration. Using the keyboard and mouse or the joystick, select any of them. It is worth noting that some of the proposed celebration options reflect actual celebration movements in some players. However, some moves are still unique to Madden 23. In any case, celebrating a victory or a point earned allows you to make the game more lively and dynamic. And, if only for a moment, but to believe that you are in a real game.

There are 2 different times you can celebrate in Madden. First, when you are in the open field about to score a touchdown. Second, immediately after you score a touchdown.

Celebrating when you are about to score a touchdown is one of the most satisfying things you can do in Madden. When someone celebrates against you, it can be enough to make you rage quit.

We’ll teach you how to celebrate below:

Step 1: Make sure there are no defenders near you

This is critically important. If you celebrate and get tackled, you will fumble nearly 100% of the time. Make sure you have plenty of space between you and the nearest defender.

Step 2: Showboat by holding down LT + RT + A on the XBOX One or L2 + R2 + X on the PS4

Holding these buttons down in the open field will cause the player with the ball to start showboating.

Step 3: Dive Into The Endzone By Pressing LT + X on the XBOX One or L2 + Square on the PS4

Pressing these buttons will trigger a cool dive into the endzone.

Step 4: Score a touchdown

Once you have scored a touchdown, you can unlock more celebrations.

Step 5: Use the right stick to trigger more celebrations

  • Hold the right stick up to trigger a team celebration.
  • Hold the right stick down to unlock a player specific celebration
  • Hold the right stick to the left to have the player dance
  • Hold the right stick to the right to spike the ball
  • Push the right stick in to trigger a swag celebration

In this year’s game, in order to trigger a running celebration, press and hold L2 + R2 + X button on PlayStation. For Xbox users, that’s LT + RT + A button. When you press these combinations, your ball carrier start showboating his way down the field.

You can also finish it off with an end zone dive. Do this with a simple combination of L2 + Square on PlayStation or LT + X on the Xbox.

Don’t stop there. Once arriving in the end zone, the celebrations continue. Moving the right stick left, right, up, or down activates a touchdown celebration. These include signature celebrations, team celebrations, spiking the ball, and dances. Here’s a little breakdown below:

  • Right stick left: Dance
  • Right stick right: Spike ball
  • Right stick up: Team celebration
  • Right stick down: Player’s signature celebration

(This is the same for both PlayStation and Xbox).
