Is 1 liter brake fluid enough?

I have finished constructing my brake pressure bleeder and will be flushing the brakes on Saturday when I swap my winter tires/wheels on. I couldn't find any DOT 4+ or 5.1 at the local auto parts stores so I have to pick up some Volvo fluid and it isn't cheap (1L = $21CAN). Will 1L cut it or will I need 2 bottles to be safe?

Thanks.

How much brake fluid do I need to bleed my brakes?

Is 1 liter brake fluid enough?

50ml of brake fluid is enough to perform a bleed on one set of cycle brakes (front and rear).

If the old brake fluid is particularly dirty or discoloured we recommend completely flushing out the old fluid and replacing with new. In which case you may need additional fluid.

Most of our bleed kits are supplied with 100ml bottles of brake fluid. This is enough to bleed a complete set of brakes 2-3 times.

Just like the title says... is a 1 liter bottle sufficient for a master cylinder change (bench bleed) plus a complete flush?

Re: (eg:R)

If you are flushing each individual brake as per regular maintainence, yes it is. If you are changing the whole system or the MC/prop. valve, or the system has bled out totally, you may want 2 quarts to ensure its totally air free.
