Scene

Quiet and modern tourist hotel with a comfortable lobby and breakfast room

The Comfort Inn is a clean, modern, and well-maintained three-story hotel that opened in 2013. The lobby makes a good impression, with wood plank floors finished in dark-brown shades, marble top tables, and the type of brown leather sofa and armchair more typically seen in upscale hotels. The soft-yellow walls are decorated with colorful photos of area landmarks such as Horseshoe Bend. The wood registration desk has a marble top and a stand of postcards depicting local scenes. The cheerful breakfast room has the same flooring and decor as the lobby, as well as a flat-screen TV that gives morning news updates to guests as they dine. Most visitors are tourists interested in nearby natural attractions such as Lake Powell. Note that the entire property is nonsmoking.

Rooms

Tidy, simply decorated rooms with granite-framed showers, mini-fridges, and microwaves

The hotel offers simply decorated, yet tasteful, rooms sporting a warm palette or reds, golds, and browns. The square-patterned carpet has various shades of brown and orange. Gold bedspreads match the color of the walls, and burnt orange is used for the bed throws, upholstered chairs, and drapes. Dark, espresso-colored furniture includes headboards, dressers, desks, and nightstands. Colorful photos of Southwestern landmarks decorate some walls. Standard amenities include mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, and 32-inch flat screen TVs.

The spacious Standard Rooms come with either one king bed or two queens, and beds are comfortable, according to past guests. Some Standard Kings have whirlpool tubs in the bedroom area. Suites add two-person sleeper sofas, and Deluxe King Suites have separate living room and bedroom areas, each with a flat-screen TV. Some rooms have small balconies with chairs, and many rooms offer at least some view of the distant mountains. Bathrooms are more upscale than the rooms, with spacious granite vanities and shower/tub combos that are framed by the same white/black granite. Bathrooms in Deluxe King Suites have additional granite vanities placed outside the main bathroom areas.
