Is Laramie Wy a nice place to live?

It is a typical college town. There is a lot of bars and not much to do beyond partying. I just wish there were more opportunities and things to do.

I’ve lived in Laramie for the past 12 years. It is a wonderful place for all stages of life. It was fun when I was a young adult and It is wonderful now that I am a wife and mother. The community is loving and accepting. I feel like the community cares about its members and have many programs to help families and provide service to those in need. The school district is great and the teachers are pretty phenomenal too. The university is affordable and brings a lot of diversity and activities to Laramie. Laramie is a pretty safe town for families. I feel comfortable letting my kids ride their bikes around and walk to school. There are great clubs and activities to join for adults, teens and school aged kids. The summers are beautiful not too hot not too cold. I would highly recommend Laramie to anyone.

Laramie is a very interesting little town that's population is mainly dependant on the college. It is at its core a very conservative town, but with the influx of students has a very colorful and liberal side as well. Rent prices and rental conditions are not the best, so it is very difficult to find a place to live here.

I love the small city vibe of Laramie. There's a good music scene, the coffee shops are fun and lively, and there are a few nice places to enjoy the nightlife. There is a great little co-op, and the town is very bike-able. As a non-traditional, adult student attending the University of Wyoming full-time, I am really enjoying being based in Laramie.

Laramie is a nice little town in the mountains. It has a university, which makes the public schools work harder to teach their students. The people here are all pretty nice. Lots of outdoors stuff to do nearby.

Laramie is a very nice small city/ large town, but be aware that the only four year university in the state is here, so if you dislike college students it is probably a place to avoid.

Laramie is a great town for families of all ages. While the college students may be a bit crazy at times, it is an alright place to live. However, the wind is awful.

Laramie is filled with wonderful people and surrounded by mountains! If you like outdoor activities, you can be camping at a like in 20 min!

Moved to Laramie for my dream school. Was very happy with the small town atmosphere. It's a safe, close knit community with a lot of wonderful opportunities for out doors activities and local events. All around I've had a great experience being here.

Laramie is a super safe college town, a great place for students.
Although, it has cold weather I really like this city because of the low expenses and safe life.

I've lived in Laramie for quite some time.If you like smaller towns Laramie is perfect. It is close to bigger cities like Fort Collins and Cheyenne as well.

Laramie is a cute college town, but there's nothing to do here, there are way to many liquor stores and bars. There is nothing for little kids and teenagers to do. Other than ice skating and roller skating. They need to start focusing on other things other than alcohol, and I believe that would lower the depression and suicidal rates. Adding a trampoline park or something fun in that nature. Also there needs to be more shopping choices, for men. Maybe adding a target would help a ton in all areas. I do love the location of Laramie and the distance from the mountains, there's a ton of beautiful hikes near by, and camping. Colorado is a short distance too, for some shopping. But I've been here for three years, and I'm already over it.

I like how close it is to Colorado, and how many people there are considering it’s Wyoming. Housing isn’t very nice but it’s affordable, downtown is cute.

Laramie is a beautiful City in souther WY. Not far from the Mountains and the North plat river for fishing, it offers a great deal of outdoor activities. It is also a college Town with much to do for the younger age. The population is rather red and that can be a bummer at times.

I moved to Laramie from NYC about 2 and a half years ago. The difference between the two sounds overwhelming, but the people of Laramie made the transition easy. Laramie has exceeded all expectations and continues to be the warmest, most welcoming neighborhood I have ever lived in. It is a special place that I absolutely adore.

Laramie! So many things... it is a beautiful place. There is great food especially if you’re vegetarian or vegan. They really have all options. Laramie has a big campus and it’s fun because there is a great diversity in ages and ethnicity and groups! The weather is awesome if you love all four seasons and outdoorsy things! There are great spots for hiking and fishing and camping. Not only that, Laramie is very close proximity to Colorado for shopping and more. Laramie has a great environment, great nightlife, and it always feels safe. There are wonderful places for studying and just hanging out! I love to live there.

What I like about Laramie, is that it is a smaller town. If you like the outdoors we have many activities to do. Our downtown shops have great variety. We have three colleges in Laramie. Making the summer quiet when the student head home.

The downside, we are limited on shopping options. If you are looking malls, then you will have to travel any where from and hour and half to 45min. If you
