Need a breath of fresh air? Head to Alexander Park. This sprawling public green space offers an amphitheater, a fishing pond, a disc golf course, and several pavilions perfect for summer picnics.

There are plenty of great restaurants in Lawrenceville, but those in the know have a few favorites. Local Republic is one, due to its healthful and hearty fare, its excellent service, and its creative menu. Oh, and there’s a full bar.

Peachtree Café is another standout. Fans say the crepes are mouthwatering, and the home fries can’t be beat. The atmosphere hearkens back to the good old days of greasy spoons, and the staff is always on point.
