Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 3 is now upon us, meaning that there’s now also a new Battle Pass to tuck into. Featuring sprays, emotes, gliders, and much more, everyone’s favourite part of a new Battle Pass are the new skins on offer. As is the case every season, you hand over your V-Bucks and get 7-8 skins as part of the deal. As has become a bit of a tradition since the start of Chapter 2, you can also unlock multiple styles for the skins by completing challenges. In Season 1, you could unlock good and evil variations. In Season 2, you had to pledge allegiance to a particular agent faction. As has always been the case for each new season, Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 3’s Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks, which translates to £7.99/$9.99. You can also pay more money to unlock the first 25 tiers immediately. Here’s our video detailing every single reward from the Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 3 Battle Pass. Here’s what you get with the Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 3 Battle Pass in terms of skins, all accompanied by a review and what we think are the best of Season 3. Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 3 Battle Pass SkinsOceanBattle Pass Tier: 1 Fortnite’s Tier 1 Battle Pass skins have to be good enough to entice you into purchasing the Pass, and Ocean delivers on that front. While not the strongest skin of the lot, Ocean definitely has its charm, though the first style you unlock is obviously the best. Fight me, you cowards. FadeBattle Pass Tier: 1 Holy hell, Fade looks awesome. His colour scheme is fantastic, yet his demeanour and animation exude an arrogant menace. Something about the two together gives me the same energy as The Prowler from Into The Spider-Verse, and I’m totally okay with that. Scuba JonesyBattle Pass Tier: 20 Scuba Jonesy gets marks for his beautiful beard and luscious locks here in his first style, but the other two styles hamper the skin over all. Both make Scuba Jonesy look like some kind of generic masked villain/goon. Let his beard be free, damn it. JulesBattle Pass Tier: 40 Jules looks like a badass, and that’s fine by me. She’s a brilliant mix of rocker and engineer, and I’m sure she’ll be a popular pick throughout Season 3. That said, her third style is a bit of an odd choice, with the white skull balaclava making her look like a Bane cosplayer. VoyagerBattle Pass Tier: 50 This skin is an extra style option for Fade as opposed to a brand new skin, and it represents the halfway point between his normal form and his Tier 100 demonic form. Fitting, as it’s the halfway point of the Battle Pass. Unfortunately, this version does little for me in comparison to the other two skins. Mileage may vary here. KitBattle Pass Tier: 60 A kitten version of Meowscles piloting a makeshift robot into battle is probably the one skin you didn’t know you needed until you saw it. As a skin, it’s definitely one of the most inventive of the Season, and will no doubt be a hit in the Fortnite community. SionaBattle Pass Tier: 80 You can tell that Siona is one of Epic’s favourite skins, with the six different style variants available to you, and that’s fine, because Siona is arguably the best skin of the Battle Pass. She’s an adorable astronaut, and the three vibrant colour schemes will likely mean that at least one will appeal to you. Big fan of styles 5 and 6, personally. Eternal KnightBattle Pass Tier: 100 The Eternal Knight skin is Fortnite Season 3’s Tier 100 skin, and in all honesty, it’s okay. Nothing special. Fortnite have utilised experimental armour before in their skins, so Eternal Knight feels like its treading the same ground. The gold version has its appeal, sure, but it feels a bit lacklustre. It’s definitely not as good as Midas, put it that way. MaskedBattle Pass Tier: 100 Fade’s other alternate style, which also unlocks at Tier 100, sees him transform into a masked demon, which is perfect for any little edgelords out there who are playing Fortnite. Between this and Eternal Knight, Masked is the clear winner. Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 3 is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
