Stay Classy, Not BrassyIf your color’s lookin’ a bit too brassy for your liking, don’t worry—our Blonde Purple Shampoo, Blonde Purple Conditioner and Tone Enhancer were literally made for cooling down brassy tones and for brightening the look of highlights. If you wanna know more about how that toning process works check out our Q&A with celebrity hair stylist Laura Polko. Lastly, if you notice all this brightening and lightening making your hair drier than usual, our Deep Conditioning Mask and 3 in 1 Leave In can really help soothe and moisturize our strands. Does heat activate hair lightener? All the heat does is speed up the lightening process, but it can cause some serious damage along the way by lifting moisture. 1 You're at particular risk if your color isn't appearing light enough—it's easy for a colorist using a little heat to use too much.

Do you put sun bum hair lightener on wet or dry hair?So I apply this when my hair is about 80-90% dry. I take a shower and towel dry my hair, and then I let it air dry for about 45 minutes or so until it's a bit more dry but not completely. Then I'll take the sun bum spray and spray it allll over my hair until it's completely damp/wet again but not dripping wet.
