There were around 35 000 additional deaths in October 2022. In comparison, the death rate was 117 % in October 2020 (66 000 additional deaths) and 118 % in October 2021 (69 000 additional deaths). The EU (48 %) is by far the largest export destination, followed by the United States (13 %), the United Kingdom and China (both 8 %). The EU accounted for half of EFTA imports, ahead of the United Kingdom (10 %), China (8 %) and the United States (7 %). Trade among EFTA countries accounted for less than 1 % of their total trade.
