• This is a cover of the 1984 song by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler.
  • It's also the first time (and so far only) the song was covered for a feature film.
  • It has even been argued that this version surpasses the original.
• Another version of the song by Frou Frou, is heard in both the credits and soundtrack for Shrek 2.
• Prior to the song, the Fairy Godmother requests that the song be put in C minor; the song itself, however, is in G minor.
• The way everyone reacts after the Fairy Godmother say "Hit it!" is a similar style in the Guitar Hero series, when the ROCK meter hits one of 3 of the colors, the stage changes depending on what the meter's on.
• The "Hit it!" phrase isn't heard in the album.

Jennifer Jane Saunders (born 6 July 1958) is an English comedian, screenwriter, singer, and actress. She has won three BAFTAs (including the BAFTA Fellowship), a British Comedy Award, a Rose d'Or Light Entertainment Festival Award, two Writers' Guild of Great Britain Awards, and a People's Choice Award. Saunders first found attention in the 1980s when she became a member of The Comic Strip after graduating from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
