NO AUTOMATIC WI-FI CONNECTION WHEN TV GETS POWERED “ON”

5G Wi-Fi Network connection won’t get automatically established the moment television is turned on. Customer must reset television’s Wi-Fi Network connection every time they power on the TV.

  Overview

Some newer routers on the market such as the Linksys model number EA9500 feature a new option known as “Smart Connect” (band steering).

When the LG TV is turned “off” then powered “on” again, the Wi-Fi connection is refused from the Network AP router for reasons unknown.

  Procedures

From your computer login as the Network Administrator of your router.

Or, you may need to get to the Smart Connect option of the router via this URL:

https://linksyssmartwifi.com/

From the Wireless Option page, deactivate “Smart Connect” option by turning the feature “off” by clicking respective radio button as shown below:

Click APPLY button at the bottom to save the new settings then OK, and finally Exit out.

If using a different brand of AP Router featuring "Smart Connect" (band steering), please access that router's brand website for instructions to login as administrator of your Network router to access the feature and disable it.

Thank you for your feedback!
