No step to high for a high stepper

Monday, Gov. Kay Ivey’s reelection campaign released its latest television advertisement of the 2022 GOP primary election cycle.

The 30-second spot, titled “I Like it,” features two men at a shooting range discussing Ivey’s accomplishments regarding job creation, signing pro-life legislation, combating COVID-19 vaccine mandates, banning Critical Race Theory and sending Alabama National Guard troops to the U.S. southern border.

Toward the end, the ad pans into a shot of Ivey unloading a pistol into a down-range target as she says, “No step too high for a high stepper.”

The spot is a follow-up to the governor’s popular 2018 campaign ad, titled, “Tough as Nails.”

In a statement announcing the new TV ad release, Ivey campaign manager William Califf advised that Ivey would continue to combat President Joe Biden’s “radical agenda” during her second term.

“With a strong list of Conservative, pro-American accomplishments, Governor Ivey has shown time and time again that she is the only choice to lead Alabama,” stated Califf. “Governor Ivey is going to keep putting lead on the target as she fights Biden’s radical agenda and continues to bring record growth to Alabama’s economy.”

The primary election will take place on May 24, 2022.
