"Now All of China Know's You're Here" is a memorable quote uttered in the animated Disney film Mulan. Screenshots of the line being said have since been used as a reaction image macros to express unintentionally making one's presence known.

Origin

On June 5th, 1998, the film Mulan was released in the United States.[1] In the film, a soldier catches the film's antagonist Shan Yu on the Great Wall. When the soldier sees him, he says, "Now, all of China know's you're here."

Ten years later, on May 5th, 2008, YouTuber Ed Warkentin posted a video of the scene. The post received more than 195,000 views in 11 years (shown below).

Spread

On September 26th, 2012, Tumblr [2] user petitetiaras posted a series of GIFs, making it appear as though the soldier had posted Shan Yu's appearance on Twitter. The scene included a GIF of the "all of China" (shown below, left). Prior to the post's deletion, the post received more than 181,000 notes.

Three years later, on February 19th, 2015, Tumblr[3] user failedyoursavingthrow posted the GIF with the caption, "When you critical fail on your stealth check." The post received more than 23,000 notes in four years (shown below, center). The image was later uploaded to the /r/dndmemes subreddit, [4] where it recieved more than 1,800 points (93% upvoted).

Four years later, Redditor[5] bartu_neg posted the image with the caption "When you open porn in the middle of the night but you forgot to turn down the volume." The post received more than 21,000 points (97% upvoted) and 120 comments (shown below, right).
