Red Dead Redemption 2 bank robbery mission worth it

As far as I can tell the additional Bank Robbery mission doesn't become available until Chapter 3/Chapter 4 (can't quite remember) and it nets you around $800, and is very easy to escape from.

I've not encountered any additional Gang Hideouts though, so perhaps I missed the side mission/side quest that unlocks it.

I honestly wouldn't say the Special Edition is worth it, the additional outfits and weapons are cool but I found I quickly wanted to customise my own outfit and use other weapons.
