S21 FE vs Pixel 6 Reddit

Both are great devices which phone comes down to what you want in a phone and how you use the phone. Both have great battery life.

The S21fe has the better display, telephoto lens, selfie camera, and wider ultrawide photos.

The Pixel is typically seen as having the better main cameras, but the S21fe is by no means bad at taking photos and videos, some people actually prefer it to the Pixel, and which one you like better may just come down to taste in processing..

They really go toe to toe in a lot of ways.

Who ever buys this samsung rubbish is at his own. Theres no help.

Bloatware, bad battery live, this exynos cpu are bad as well.

My s7 lasts a year after that it was a mess at use. Same with the s10.

On the other hand, the pixel 6 is something like a beta. Its the first one with own cpu. A cpu that also comes from samsung. In my oppinion google makes a bad move at this. I wish the pixel 6 would be with the snapdragon 780g, or maybe better like the 870.

This is actually the opposite for me lol I tried the S21FE for 2 days was unusable for playing games and the heating up issues seriously killed it for me, I stuck with my P6P, and never looked back, it was brand new too, however I could've gotten a bad one too but still, even then I was shocked.

Hey guys,

I'm extremely unsure whether I should get the Pixel 6 or the Samsung S21 FE 5G.

- pro S21 FE: I like the design better; its general performance seems to be better

- pro Pixel 6: Camera seems to be way better to me, I like the UI better and the battery seems to do better, especially with this optimizing AI thing going on.

Thing is: I usually don't take too many pictures on my phone. Partially that might be due to my Honor 10's crappy photo performance. My phone use was mostly focussed on reddit, internet research, youtube, music and fitness tracking related stuff.

I'm wondering if future software updates could potentially bring the Samsung's camera performance more on par with the Pixel. On the other hand, I'm wondering if the Pixel is more future proof in terms of what revolutionizing AI advancements of Google the future might bring. I'm not nearly tech savy enough to tell if these thoughts are trivial or valid.

I would get both for 4.99€ linked to a 24 months contract (40GB 5G per month, +10GB every year) (o2 Germany). So they'd be exactly the same price.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: thanks for your responses! I think I will go Pixel 6 and send it back if problems occur.

Pixel 6 series is a mess riddled with bugs, as it's a "first gen" of its type (Tensor CPU). Alternatively, you could wait for Pixel 7 which will hopefully have a much better 2nd gen Tensor chip that has many of its flaws resolved.

S21FE is an excellent phone with flagship specs and will have Android software updates until Android 16. The cameras aren't quite as good as a regular S21 or S22, but they are still excellent nonetheless, and whether or not you like OneUI is really up to your preference. This late in the year I'd suggest waiting for an S22FE, but to my knowledge it was canceled, so if you can get a good deal on the 21FE, I'd grab it.

This was my choice also, and I went for the S21FE. The deciding factor for me was dependability. The early reports of P6 issues were just a little too numerous for my comfort level. I know only a small fraction of users were having those issues but, as this is my only phone for both work and home, I wanted the most dependable phone I could get out of the box. It has been a dependable phone for me - with one weird issue where the phone froze and it took several pushes of the power button to finally get it to reboot; hasn't happened since. Other than that it has good battery (SD chip set), is fast, fluid, I like the lighter weight due to the plastic back, and it has gotten regular updates. I'm a satisfied user (but also a light phone user too).

I think most of the P6 issues have been resolved and if I update in the next few years I hope to have a Pixel as an option.

The bugs are all fixed for me

level 1

Some bugs cannot be fixed due to hardware, like Modem and processor. If you have some tolerance with problems go with the 6, if not go with the S21 FE (Snapdragon). If S21FE Exynos then pick the 6. Or consider the A52s, great phone low price almost the same as the S20FE. CamelCamelCamel

I suggest you to go for the Galaxy S21 FE5G. It has 6.4 inches Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz display, Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G (5 nm), Adreno 660, 32 MP selfie camera, Li-Ion 4500 mAh battery, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Is it worth it over the new Pixel 7 (since both cost the same)?

Why the S21 is better than the pixel 6?

The Pixel 6 will use advanced AI, coupled with the Tensor chip, that will ensure better image quality as well. On the other hand, the Galaxy S21 has a triple camera system with a main 12 MP sensor, a 64MP zoom camera (no telephoto lens though), and a 12 MP ultra-wide.

Does the S21 FE overheat?

Overheating Concerns The Galaxy S21 FE 5G supports Adaptive Fast Charging, and therefore is likely to get warm during charging. This is expected, especially if the device is being operated while it is charging. If the device gets warm during normal use, please see the tips above.

Is the Samsung S21 better than the pixel 6 Pro?

On the video front, the Pixel 6 Pro can record 4K@30/60fps and 1080p@30/60/120/240fps with its rear camera. The selfie camera, on the other hand, can only do 4K@30/60fps or 1080p@30fps. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is superior when it comes to video recording capability.

Is S21 FE better?

The Galaxy S21 FE offers a slightly larger FHD+ Dynamic display which may be more beneficial if you work or game a lot on your phone. Both phones have industry leading cameras but if you're looking for an exceptional Telephoto lens opt for the Galaxy S21 with its 64-megapixels.
