Contrary to popular belief, the Haruno family were technically a clan – one with a secret tied very close to their chests. To be a clan, one either had to have a certain number of skilled shinobi in their ranks or they had to possess a kekkei genkai. The Haruno Clan belonged to the latter category.

Though it wasn’t something Sakura paid much attention to, until she wound up punted into another body – one belonging to a Haruno Sakura in an alternate dimension. Only her new dimension wasn’t in the same era as her previous one. The Warring Clans Era was something Sakura had only read about in books, but now she has to live through it. But there’s more to things than simply survival, because there’s a reason the Haruno Clan faded into nonexistence after the Warring Clans Era in her original dimension.

She just needs to ensure the same things she’s heard about don’t happen again, otherwise it’s doubtful she’ll live to her twenty-fifth birthday.

Predictably, things go worse in this timeline than in canon. Obito and Sakura are the only remaining survivors of the Fourth Great Shinobi War due to their respective abilities. They survive Kaguya for a while, barely escaping by the skin of their teeth each time. They grow closer as they learn to work with one another to the best of their abilities. The constant running finally starts to wear on them after a time and Kaguya finally gets a lucky shot in on Obito. Knowing he is dying anyway he uses the power of his Mangekyō and the last of his chakra to send Sakura’s soul and chakra back in time in a desperate bid to change things for the better and prevent their timeline from ever existing. He unfortunately had only enough power to send her back to her pre-genin days but she vows that she will change things no matter what the cost of that is. ObiSaku, mentioned established relationship. No other pairings decided (if there will be any).

Acceptance was only a step away, for if her body proportions didn't spell out the answer for her, all she needed to do was reach for her chakra. But she couldn't. It was like grasping for a single thread in a lake of dirty water. It was there, somewhere, but she couldn't see it. She couldn't see anything around it, for where she normally had unimaginable chakra contained was enough for three clones at the maximum.

Yet, she continued grasping, hunting, searching, all in vain. But she couldn't just stop. Sakura was a proud kunoichi, apprentice of Senju Tsunade, a civilian born ninja breaking countless records and barriers.

She was not a mere child. She was not a child, if not for her physical age then for the trials and pain she had been through. But most certainly, Sakura was not going to live through that suffering again.

Long story short, Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke are thrown back into their puny, non-badass 12-year-old bodies.

Cause a riot, drive everyone insane and save the world.

Good time travel fanfic involving Naruto and Sakura. Sasuke is completely out of the loop and I love him for it. Kakashi is just tired and done with their antics, and I can relate oddly enough.
