Q: What happens when you remove someone from your private story?

When you remove a friend from your friends list, they wont be able to view any of your private Stories or Charms, but theyll still be able to view any content you have set to public. Depending on your privacy settings, they may also still be able to Chat or Snap you!

I hadn’t seen her post anything on her private story in a while, and I just noticed there’s no “leave private story” option on her profile, does that mean she removed me from it? Or is Snapchat glitching from its updates? I’m just wondering because even at the point where I stopped seeing her stories we were still talking to each other quite a bit and now we’re even closer than we were when I was seeing her private stories. Do you guys think if we’re still really close and I didn’t say anything that would upset her that it’s Snapchat glitching? Or would she have removed me for some reason?

So just randomly i decided to check on the guy I likes snapchat because he’s not posted on his private story since Christmas Day and I don’t have the option to “leave private story” meaning he’s either removed me from it or has deleted it altogether. I’m not sure why he would remove me cos we have been talking everyday since then on insta (even today). It’s just stressing me out for some reason because I have no idea why he’d remove me!

Sounds like he could've deleted it or there's been a glitch on Snapchat. You could ask him if it's the latter but this depends on how close you are imo, as you don't necessarily want to seem like you've been keeping tabs.

Don’t think it’s a glitch cos all of my other friends give me the option to leave it but his dosent. I don’t think I’ll ask him cos I don’t want to come off as though I’m watching him but I’ll try to ask one of my friends who’s also on hi story. Hopefully he’s just deleted it.

Did you check it often? Tbh I add and delete people off my private story all the time. Usually just if something is going to be a little personal (eg. mental health rant) I'll take off a couple of people who I'm not extremely close with and put them back on at a later time, but sometimes I just take people off because I notice they're never viewers and don't want to bother them.

that is the best option, ask a friend who's also on it, if he has been posting. if you guys have still been talking, he has no reason to remove you really, so let's hope he really has just deleted it. but definitely don't ask him about it directly because that may come off as slightly stalkerish. if anything, you could subtly bring it up by saying something like 'you haven't been posting much, is everything okay?' idk.

Yeah I’ve always opened whatever he posts and sometimes slid up on it. The personal thing makes sense, hopefully it is just that or that he’s deleted it completely and will make a new one soon. Thanks
