Signs you need a tolerance break Reddit

So what exactly is the point of a tolerance break ? Im (27M) and have only takin a break when I was in legal trouble over 10 years ago other then that I smoke faithfully, daily, nightly before and after work before and after I eat bore and after I shower and I can say I ALWAYS get high.. so is the T Break just so the initial high after your break is magical ? Is it u don't need to smoke as much to get high? Are you guys just not getting high after smoking for a long period consistently, I'm honestly curious and would love for everyone to give there reasoning being taking tolerance breaks cuz I'm sure there more then just 1 reason. On that note it's time to go roll one up I look forward to conversating with you all I will try to reply to everyone thank you.

I smoked daily for 3 years. Throughout this time i tried doing a t-break multiple times but i was never able to commit more than a day or two because i am so mentally addicted to weed. Within this past month i could feel how mentally burnt my brain was, felt so out of shape from munchies/being indacouch, felt like my lungs were heavy as i breathed, etc…So i knew it was time to get my act together and start a t-break. So today officially makes 1 week straight of not smoking weed and already I can feel a difference, mentally and emotionally. I feel motivated to workout again and to eat healthier. Idk how long im gonna keep this t-break going but each day i complete without smoking feels like a huge accomplishment!

Moral of my little spiel is you and your body will know when its time to take a break. Everyone does it at their OWN pace. Whenever you start, keep pushing, i will be rooting for you!!!

P.S. I want to make it clear that i LOVE smoking weed and i LOVE being high. I deff plan on smoking again and plan on smoking my whole life! Sometimes you got to remember to take care of yourself because without your health, youre not you.

Signs you need a tolerance break Reddit

There are times when I'm almost anxious for a bowl or just look for any excuse to relax with one. The idea of someone becoming dependent on the ease of lapsing out of sobriety kind of scares me a little, especially because I have low tolerance, and I don't really want to live an inert life during the pandemic.

Any tips on combating the need for weed?

Stay busy, at least that always worked for me. As soon as i sat down or got bored i immediately felt the need for weed. Also a tip is rewarding yourself with weed. Let's say you work a full day, then go to the gym for a good workout, come home do some chores or whatever and then at the end when it's chill time, light em up. Good luck my friend :)

That's what I do. That's the best OP. A fulfilling daily routine that you can accomplish in the day with little to mid level effort. Even makes the first rip of the day feel better. Lol

The first time you take off work just to get high. I mean the "first" time. It's getting in your head to much.

Always worked from home, even before the pandemic. Big catch right there.

Hello Friends~

So I've decided to cut back on my weed smoking significantly, as of this morning. I've been smoking medicinally (primary physician recommended) but otherwise recreationally literally 24/7 round the clock for the last 3 months. That was due to working at home and so being able to get away with it, painful medical condition, and stoner netflix/homebody lifestyle. Plus I live in a legalized state so the richly stocked smoke shops make it convenient and tempting. All day long it's: Puff puff puff $ $ $ <cough> <cough>

It's time for me to take a tolerance break for awhile. I can barely even cop a tiny buzz anymore, my lungs hurt, I'm going outside every 60 minutes, I'm spending way too much cash. Tapering works for me, but I don't have 1 week to do it gentle-like. I smoked the last weed in the house earlier this AM, wiped up any visible crumbs anymore, and going cold turkey about 3 hours in now.

For those of you who were literal 24/7 smokers (strong weed, dabs, edibles, etc) and had to go clean (voluntarily or otherwise) what did you do to cope? Did you take any OTC meds, foods, medications, what did you do to help?

Typically when I go clean all of a sudden I get some variation of physical symptoms like fever, nausea, time dilation, lack of appetite, insomnia (probably the worst thing for me, cause it wrecks my next day).

I'm already feeling a bit yucky as the first W/D starts as I post now. All day long I plan to stay extra busy if I can to take my mind off wanting a hit, forcefeed myself a couple healthy superfoods despite zero appetite, drinks lots of water, and maybe not pick a movie for the evening's relaxation (movies and tv just won't be the same for a week). I plan to take either some otc Unisom or otc Melatonin as sleep aids for the first night or two of detox and pray I can get a little sleep.

So can anybody else relate to just how much it sucks and wierd your body feels the first few days not smoking after just going nonstop for a long period? I'd be grateful to hear your detox stories, and your tips to get through it!

How do I know if I need a tolerance break?

For medical cannabis patients, the main sign that you might need a tolerance break is when you notice that you're getting less of a result from symptom control on the same dose of medication.

How many days do you need for a tolerance break?

A T-Break could help you save money and also keep balance. The hard news is that if you smoke weed most days, a true T-Break should be at least 21 days long. For those who regularly partake, it takes around three weeks or more for THC to fully leave your system.
