Tales of Demons and Gods Reddit 2022

This is what I see on the Wuxiaworld website for announcements: http://imgur.com/a/vMVZq.

Not that I am surprised but is TDG being officially dropped or is this a Wuxiaworld bug?

edit: Let me clarify this, has Wuxiaworld or the translator dropped it. It just seems strange that the index is there but the entire category section got removed. Not the author dropping it; i know the whole drama surrounding that.

edit2: I don't care about the updates to the TDG. I'm just curious to why that entire section go removed w/o notice.

I like it but it is very low in my favorite list ranks. The animation is very "light" and the 5min format isn't my cup of tea but i still enjoy it, it's fun.

In the same style but so much better ( for me at least), " Perfect World " is insanely good. Funny and good fight scenes, the animation is awsome.

It depend what you want from a Dongua ( good story, emotions or martial fights, fantasy ) At the moment nothing can beat Battle Throught the Heaven 3 years agreement imho.

( be sure to watch the seasons before this one if you are interested and did not watch it yet)

Sort of? I am kind of obsessed with the series, but not exactly for positive reasons. I am FASCINATED by this train-wreck of a manga series. I don't think I've seen a series squander this much potential since SAO. That's not to say it's ALL bad, the series had, hands down, one of the most intriguing hooks for a series. (the protagonist traveled back in time to when he was a child, and has a few short years to prepare his city for an upcoming demonic invasion, so it wasn't about powering himself up, but strengthening the city up as a whole.)

But the series does get progressively worse as it goes along, to the point where the author, seemingly completely unaware of the implications, has the protagonist abusing a teenage girl and it gets portrayed as borderline "romantic".

TL/DR: if you enjoyed the last season of Game of Thrones, or the movie The Room, you will like this series.

Everyone cries about this series, I liked the first half to some extent, but it gets dog shit literally just power ups ( n some good trading) but not enough actually using it.

It has the issue with every girl wants this Man n yeah it has a good cast that gets forgotten n his friend ( one who's always around) Jesus he was funny at first but just sucks later.

There's no info I'm aware of.

Star Martial God Technique (another novel he wrote), had something like an abrupt/open ending. The manhua finished covering everything of the novel, but it's still releasing chapters. I bet he is working with the manhua's staff with the continuation of this work, and thus decided to put Tales of Demons and Gods on indeterminate hiatus.

Well, let's add my own opinion: he has been fed up with Tales of Demons and Gods ever since he started doing 1 chapter per month. Ever since Nie Li and Long Yuyin found out that OP inheritance with those OP fruits, the novel went downside. The authot suddenly started rushing everything, but in the later chapters he was delaying everything, perhaps because he doesn't know how to tie the loose ends of the Tiny World, and even his last chapters were soo short. He probably is using the continuation of Star Martial God Technique as an excuse to get away from continue writing chapters of Tales of Demons and Gods (imo).

This is sounding more and more likely. CKtalon left me this following comment on noveltranslations:

“I gave the answer here regarding TDG a couple of weeks back:

He (Mad Snail) basically set up a comic studio to make comic (and animation) adaptions of his books (TDG, SMGT, etc), so he's the boss of the comic studio. Since it's his investment, he puts more effort into the comic than the novel. Simple as that. (You can see from this article his ambition—it's not limited to writing novels: http://www.chinawriter.com.cn/n1/2017/0302/c405057-29119304.html)
IIRC, the contract dispute between him and China Literature/Tencent Comics has been settled, but that dispute lay in the comic rights, not the novel rights. However, as it is in China, authors can write any time they want. The publisher doesn't use the contract to press charges to 'force' them to write, so he can take as long as he wants.”

Bro. (Or sis). TDG has low number of chaps compared to other novels. I was thinking of creating a summary for you. But I realise now, it's pretty big. Basically, dude is a regressor. He had an artifact which allowed him to spent millenia in a space, where he used to comprehend stuff even though MC is an average dude in his first life. He dies cuz the strongest God cultivator killed him. Dude goes back in time. He lives in a city which is the only known survival area of humanity after beast tides. Dude cultivates. Gets more cheats. Gets with his girls. Kills one of his former enemies. Goes to higher realms. Takes over the sect where he joined in higher realm. Increases his cultivation cuz of cultivation steroid filled apples. Makes apple juice for his friends and ancestors of his sect. They lurk for some years and get powerful. (But still now powerful enough. They can still be curbstomped by his old killer). Meanwhile his two girls had joined a sect which only allows females, and doesn't allow them to have relationships. MC forces and pressures his girls' sect into allowing MC's sect having relationship with each other. Basically dude invented cultivation Tinder, just using blackmail and money. Finally I got tired of all the shit. The author doesn't even have a vision. He goes with the flow. I'm not even seeing it. Funny thing, more chapters of manga than novel.
