This has a positive slope because we need to match the graph with a given equation. The number in front of X needs to be positive. It can't be letter D. It can't be letter B because it is a vertical line. That's a horizontal line. There was only one that could match letter C.

How do you find the inequality of a graph?

Plug your slope and a point into the formula y = mx + B, in which "m" is the slope, (x, y) is a point on the line and "b" is the y-intercept, to find the equation governing the inequality line. Plugging in (0, 0), you obtain 0 = 0 + b, so b = 0. Rewriting the equation, you obtain y = x/2.

Which point is a solution to the inequality?

A point is a solution to an inequality if that point, when put into the inequality, meets the conditions of the inequalty. We can check this by substituting the point.

How do you solve an inequality?

When solving an inequality: • you can add the same quantity to each side • you can subtract the same quantity from each side • you can multiply or divide each side by the same positive quantity If you multiply or divide each side by a negative quantity, the inequality symbol must be reversed.

Which inequality has no solution?

When two inequalities have parallel lines and the shaded areas do not overlap (i.e., the opposite areas are shaded), then the system has no solution.
