i understand her frustration.

and i wish she didn't have to write this article in this manner instead of being able to calmly walk through the problems with the original article.

it's also telling [and a little frustrating] that by proxy [and upvoting] the subreddit here can't see past their own navel-gazing to recognize that there really /is/ a problem with gaming and the way game characters are portrayed.

game characters should be able to come in all shapes and all sizes. and no one should have to bat an eye. but here we are, trapped in the 21st century and we still haven't figured that out, yet :(

sometimes, the way we react as folks invested in gaming really does make me feel like we're in the darkest timeline for this hobby. :(

and that's ok. hopefully, at some point, you, too, will turn the corner and you'll be able to recognize that this IS an actual issue facing the hobby. until then, please do enjoy your games.

When video games are stuffed full of half naked ladies with 'armor' that would have killed them if they were in a fight, since anyone can just stab them between their enormous titties with ease. Whereas male characters tend to be covered up and wear actual armour that could be useful in combat, not just to make you look sexy.

I remember a little while ago, some game changed one of their characters to cover up maybe 5% of her way too exposed tits, and everyone went crazy saying that it was censorship and unacceptable and it made her ugly. I swear, it was like 5% tits getting covered max and the costume was still sexy.

So yeah, visually quite a few, but not all games, appeal to men like this. Makes it annoying or uncomfortable to play them as a female if it's too bad.
