It looks like Twilight Midnight Sun is back in the news again, and this time, for some reason, it appears it’s being linked to Netflix on social media.

So, I wanted to take some time to clear up a few things about Twilight Midnight Sun, its release date, and if the movie will be available to stream on Netflix.

For those who don’t know, Midnight Sun is a book by Stephanie Meyer. It’s part of the Twilight series, and it tells the story from Edward’s perspective, rather than Bella’s perspective.

Is Twilight Midnight Sun on Netflix?

There seems to be a lot of confusion about the Twilight Midnight Sun and if it’s on or coming to Netflix. The first part is obvious; no, Midnight Sun is not on Netflix right now.

If Midnight Sun is coming to Netflix, well, that is a different story. We don’t really know, honestly. If the movie is released in theaters or Netflix picks up the rights to the film, it could make its way to Netflix after a year or so. Netflix has added all of the Twilight movies at one point or another, I think, since they were released.

Is the Twilight Midnight Sun movie coming in 2021?

As far as I can tell, no, Midnight Sun will not be released in 2021. While it may be happening, there are no details about production or anything like that. If production has not started by now, there’s no chance Midnight Sun would be released in 2021.

According to HITC, Midnight Sun does not have a release date, and there are still questions about if the movie is even happening, as mentioned above.

There’s absolutely no chance that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart would be involved if the movie does happen. They’re on to bigger and better things in their careers, and they are — I’m very sorry to say — too old to play teenagers in movies in unironic ways.

With that said, I think there’s probably a good chance this movie gets made at some point. There’s so much fan interest in the franchise still. As we’ve seen in recent years, reboots can work really well!

At this time, there are no official plans for a Midnight Sun Twilight movie. If that changes in the future, we could see a movie within two years of the start of development. That’s a pretty quick turnaround, but this would be a big deal, and I’m sure the studio will want to release it quickly.

Right now, the earliest we could see a Midnight Sun Twilight movie would be in 2023 or 2024.
