The casting news also suggests that Y&R is looking for a Summer recast, and that means both Summer and Kyle would return to Genoa City sooner than later.

When Skyle returns, a lot of drama will unroll indeed. Right now, the major drama will be around Diane Jenkins. Kyle’s dead mom just came back, and that would undoubtedly bring in a lot of drama.

There’s always a chance Y&R could bring on a Tara recast to help shake things up, but there’s no denying the dramatic potential of Harrison’s mom gaining her freedom – no matter who plays her.

That’s especially true since Summer has become such a loving and devoted stepmom.

Despite Summer’s initial reservations, she’s become a real mother figure to Harrison and loves him as if he were her own.

Tara could try to rip apart the “Skyle” family unit if she gets out of the slammer and plays dirty to get her son back.

Tara might try to act like Summer is an unfit mother and could target Phyllis for revenge as well.

The show didn’t kill Tara off, so that certainly brings the potential for her to come back in the picture – and the time could be right once Kyle’s back in Genoa City for good.
