Freya is having quite an impact on this year’s Great British Bake Off – and not just for her amazing vegan creations. Freya sealed her place as a fan favourite in the second episode of The Great British Bake Off 2021. During biscuit week viewers took a shine to the North Yorkshire baker's Yorkshire twang. But not everyone was happy as Channel 4 also had to deal with a slew of complaints about the episode due to problems with the sound. But despite viewers appreciating Freya's bakes and her bants, many pointed out they were having problems with the sound. Viewers streaming via All4 couldn't get access to subtitles and described problems with the voiceover being too quiet. "What’s going on with the sound?! The commentary is barely audible." The issues relate to a fire at a TV studio on Saturday which has caused problems for streaming service All4 as well as issues on Channel 4 stations like E4 and 4Music. As one technically minded viewer put it: "Voiceovers on GBBO on C4 HD sound out of phase. "Presumably this is due to lack of 5.1 processing whilst C4 still operating under DR conditions for playout from alternative facility, following Saturday’s incident."
