What is the most overpowered fruit in One Piece?

The treasure of the sea, Devil Fruits are known to be fruits that grant tremendous power to those who eat them in exchange for their ability to swim. Although they are extremely rare in the four Blues of the One Piece world, the Grand Line has them in abundance.

Every Devil Fruit makes its user stronger and offers an incredible physical boost to them. Over the years, One Piece has introduced a number of overpowered Devil Fruits to the fans the power of which is nothing short of extraordinary.

Updated on December 26, 2021, by Rei Penber: Although uncommon in the first 100 chapters of the story, Devil Fruits are found often in the Grand Line. As the story progressed fans have been introduced to quite a lot of overpowered ones. Although this list has 10 of the most powerful Devil Fruits, there are certainly more such fruits that fit the description. With that in mind, we've added five more Devil Fruits to the list.

15/15 Pika Pika no Mi

Pika Pika no Mi is a Logia-type of Devil Fruit that is wielded by one of the three Admirals of the Navy, Admiral Kizaru. This devil fruit allows the user to turn themselves into light itself and freely manipulate it according to their will. This fruit grants the speed of light to Kizaru and makes him a fearsome opponent for anyone in One Piece. During the Sabaody Archipelago arc, Kizaru was able to take down four Supernova Captains and even clash with Rayleigh on an equal footing thanks to his Devil Fruit.

14/15 Toki Toki no Mi

Introduced into Wano Country arc, the Toki Toki no Mi is a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that allows the user to jump forward in time as much as they want. Although the Devil Fruit makes it possible to jump forward in time, the user cannot return to where they came from. This fruit was wielded by Kozuki Toki, the wife of Kozuki Oden. Originally, Toki was born over 800 years ago during the Void Century in One Piece tmeline. After her death, this fruit has now been recirculated, however, it is unknown who wields it currently.

13/15 Zushi Zushi no Mi

The Zushi Zushi no Mi, also known as the Thump-Thump fruit, is a paramecia type of Devil Fruit that is wielded by one of the new Admirals of the Navy, Fujitora.

This fruit grants him total control over gravity and using its powers he can manipulate the gravitational forces as he likes. He can make things heavier by increasing their gravity or lift things by reducing their gravity. Fujitora's powers rank among the strongest Devil Fruits and makes him one of the most overpowered characters in the series.

12/15 Momonosuke's Artificial Devil Fruit

Momonosuke's Devil Fruit was created by none other than Vegapunk by experimenting on Kaido. By using his Lineage Factor, Vegapunk was able to create a replica of the fruit, however, he deemed it a failure. Despite that, when Momonosuke ate the Devil Fruit, the powers worked flawlessly, making it one of the best Devil Fruits. This fruit is a replica of Kaido's Devil Fruit and allows Momonosuke to transform into a giant dragon at will. Although Momonosuke has limited control over his powers right now, in the future he can become just as menacing as Kaido.

11/15 Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu

One of the Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu is one of the most powerful Devil Fruits, wielded by the former Fleet Admiral of the Navy, Sengoku. This fruit allows him to transform into a giant golden Buddha capable of emitting shockwaves from the palms of his hands. During the Marineford arc, Sengoku was able to match Blackbeard's quake powers with its shockwaves. At the same time, this Devil Fruit also made him one of the strongest people during the era of Gol D. Roger.

10/15 Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix

Eaten by Marco the Phoenix at a very young age, the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix was first introduced during the Marineford arc. This Devil Fruit is a Mythical Zoan, making it even rarer than a Logia-type. As the name suggests, it grants Marco the ability to turn into a Phoenix at will.

Any damage that he takes can be healed within seconds using the blue flames of resurrection. Marco also gains a tremendous physical boost due to his Zoan fruit as seen when he was able to overpower both King and Queen at once during the Wano Country arc.

9/15 Yami Yami no Mi

Eaten by Blackbeard, the Yami Yami no Mi is an extraordinarily unique Devil Fruit. It is known to hold the evilest power of all the Devil Fruits in existence.

Using this fruit, Blackbeard can create darkness at will and absorb anything that is thrown at him, even light itself. His darkness can attract other Devil Fruit powers and with a mere touch, render their ability useless. The Yami Yami no Mi has a downside as it doesn't let the user become darkness itself. Furthermore, the user ends up taking twice as much damage as an average person.

8/15 Goro Goro no Mi

The Goro Goro no Mi was introduced to the fans during One Piece's Skypiea arc. It was eaten by God Enel and using its powers, he could transform into lightning at will and manipulate it accordingly.

This Devil Fruit was labeled invincible by Nico Robin, which goes to show how strong it truly is. Enel could easily produce a current of 200 million volts using its power. What's more, this Devil Fruit also let him jumpstart his own heart when he was hit by a Reject Dial. Its only known Devil Fruit weakness is the Gomu Gomu no Mi.

7/15 Magu Magu no Mi

Eaten by the former Admiral Akainu, the Magu Magu no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that lets him transform into and manipulate magma freely.

This Devil Fruit was introduced during the Marineford arc of One Piece and it made Akainu strong enough to clash with Whitebeard. The Magu Magu no Mi's offensive power is considered to be of the highest order. A single hit from this power can prove to be lethal, as seen through the events of the Marineford arc.

6/15 Nikyu Nikyu no Mi

Eaten by Bartholomew Kuma, Nikyu Nikyu no Mi is quite a powerful Devil Fruit that gives him paws on the palms of his hands. The paws have special power as they allow him to repel anything that he touches at the speed of light.

The Nikyu Nikyu no Mi also allows to compress air at the speed of light and create a shockwave strong enough to wreck an entire island. What's more, this Devil Fruit offers instantaneous travel by repelling Kuma at light speed. If that wasn't enough, its repelling powers also work on intangible things such as pain, or possibly even emotions.

5/15 Soru Soru no Mi

Soru Soru no Mi was eaten by Mother Carmel at some point in time. On Charlotte Linlin's sixth birthday, she was presumably eaten by her, transferring the powers of the Devil Fruit to her in the process. Using its power, Linlin was able to become a Yonko and earn herself a bounty of 4,388,000,000 Berries.

Soru Soru no Mi allows her to manipulate souls at will. She can give life to both living and non-living objects and also take away the lifespan of others. Those who fear her even in the slightest don't stand a chance against her power.

4/15 Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu

One of the strongest Devil Fruits in the story, Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Azure Dragon was given to Yonko Kaido by Big Mom on the day of the God Valley Incident. This Devil Fruit grants Kaido the ability to become an eastern dragon at will.

He can produce wind, fire, and lightning with its powers but the biggest asset of this Devil Fruit is its incredible durability. Kaido's skin, or scales, cannot be pierced by regular attacks. Even advanced Armament Haki isn't enough to damage him. Only the usage of advanced Conqueror's Haki is enough to hurt Kaido.

3/15 Gura Gura no Mi

Gura Gura no Mi formerly belonged to Whitebeard and is currently in the possession of Blackbeard.

This Devil Fruit is known to be strongest in the Paramecia class and it allows Blackbeard to create quakes that are strong enough to sink islands with ease. According to Sengoku, it holds the power to destroy the entire world, making it a threat comparable to an Ancient Weapon itself.

2/15 Hobi Hobi no Mi

Eaten by Sugar, Hobi Hobi no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that is extremely dangerous for anyone to fight against.

Just a single touch from this Devil Fruit turns the opponent into a toy. The user of the fruit is then free to sign a contract with the toy and make them obey the conditions that they set. The real identity of the toy gets shockingly erased from the minds of every single person in the world, leaving them all alone and a slave to the Devil Fruit's power.

1/15 Ope Ope no Mi

Eaten by Trafalgar Law, the Ope Ope no Mi is an extremely powerful Devil Fruit that allows him to create ROOMs within which he can use manipulate anything, from the terrain to the people. As a modification man, Law can modify anything that he wishes within his ROOMs.

Although this Devil Fruit does drain a lot of stamina, Law can use it in a variety of ways, ranging from stealing hearts and chopping limbs to switching personalities with his opponents. What's more, this Devil Fruit can perform the Perennial Youth Operation, which gives immortality to the one it is performed on in exchange for the user's life. This has earned Ope Ope no Mi the reputation of being the Ultimate Devil Fruit.
