Barbra Streisand took to Twitter on Sunday to pay tribute to her iconic “Happy Days Are Here Again” and “Get Happy” duet with Judy Garland back in 1963. 

“Such a special moment in my career,” Streisand wrote. “She was incredible. Totally unique. Just been reminded this aired 56 years ago today on CBS.”

The one-of-a-kind performance, which at the time featured Streisand as a young rising star who had just released her first album, was a perfect mix of the two hit songs, allowing for each singer’s showstopping vocals to be put on display. This duet paved the way for Streisand to receive her first Emmy nomination, for outstanding performance in a variety or musical program or series, in 1964.

Streisand: It sure was. I was a late Judy Garland fan. I didn't know of her when I was very young. And then I happened to walk by a recording session she was doing in New York somewhere and I thought, "Oh my God, this woman is fantastic." But doing that with Judy was a wonderful experience.
