The Plot

In the San Fernando Valley, Philo Beddoe drives a truck. With his orangutan named Clyde, he lives in a small house. In addition to his brother, Orville Boggs, he has his mother with him as well. Philo fights as bare-knuckles as a side hustle. His fighting style has been compared to that of a legend, Tank Murdock. Philo becomes enchanted by Lynn Halsey-Taylor one night. He meets her at the Palomino Club. She’s an aspiring country music artist. It seems like they’re getting along quite well. However, one day her camper and she mysteriously disappeared from the trailer park. After becoming convinced that Lynn is the one for him, Philo begins planning a trip to Denver, Colorado, to visit Lynn.

During his travels, he comes into contact with the Black Widows motorcycle gang. Clyde and Philo are insulted at the traffic light, prompting Philo’s anger. Angrily, Philo chases them. Philo then takes their bikes. They make every effort to get even but to no avail. Meanwhile, Philo also encounters the wrath of an LAPD officer named Putnam. In the Palomino, he gets into a fight with him. After learning of Philo’s trip to Colorado, both the officer and the widows set out in search of him.

As Philo travels to Denver, Orville and Clyde accompany him. En route, they encounter a woman named Echo. In time, she becomes Orville’s girlfriend. Together they book fights for Philo and earn money. Philo is stiffed by the man who holds the money after a fight in a slaughterhouse. Echo fires two rounds into a side of beef with a .38, dead center. She shows the crowd that she is skilled at shooting. By saying, “The following shot let them know she wasn’t mistaken with the previous shot.” Further, the man gives her the money back.
