2022 NCAA West Preliminary Rounds | May 25-28 | John McDonnell Field

Arkansas will serve as host of the 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminary Rounds on Wednesday, May 25, through Saturday, May 28. The four-day competition takes place at John McDonnell Field on the University of Arkansas campus.

Qualifying individuals and relays advance to the 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, held on June 8-11 at Hayward Field.

Athletes who rank among the top 48 in their respective event earn a berth into the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds. In addition, the best 24 relays times advance to the NCAA preliminaries. Athletes with the top 12 times/marks and the best 12 relay teams at both the East and West Preliminary Rounds sites will qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

The decathlon and heptathlon will not be held during the NCAA Preliminary Rounds. Instead, the top 24 decathlon and heptathlon scores in the nation earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship site.

$40 – All-session adult
$35 – All-session youth (17 and under), college student and senior citizens
$15 – Single day adult
$15 – Single day youth, college student and senior citizen
Free – 2 and under

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
The four-day NCAA West Preliminary Rounds will have men’s competition on Wednesday and Friday while women’s competition will be held on Thursday and Saturday. The full schedule is available at the link below.

It’s all on the line during the 2022 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships!

Over 850 DIII male and female student-athletes from across the country will travel to Northeast Ohio to determine the individual and team champions in both men's and women's Track & Field on May 26-28, 2022 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

This championship will feature 20 different events over the three-day competition, generating an estimated $2,000,000 in economic impact to Northeast Ohio.
