Black Butler Season 2 ending left many fans with a lot of questions. The anime is the adaptation of a manga with the same name and creation of the mangaka Yana Toboso. What Is The Plot Of Black Butler Season 2?Black Butler revolver around the young Earl Ciel Phantomhive, who was sold into slavery after some unknown assailants murdered his parents. A sadistic satanic cult buys the young Phantomhive lord. They abuse and tortures Ciel physically and mentally. Eventually, they turn him into a sacrifice to summon a demon. However, the demon makes a contract with Ciel that he will serve him and, after fulfilling his task, will consume his soul. The two teams up and solve crimes in London under the command of the Queen.  Alois and Claude The second season introduces a new pair of master and servant, Alois Trancy and Claude. Claude is the heir of the Trancy house and has a tragic backstory. As a young child, he was kidnapped and later sold into slavery. He grew up in a poor village, and he was the only survivor of a plague that killed everyone in the village. After the village’s annihilation, he came back to his royal family along with a butler. Alois also holds Sebastian and Ciel responsible for the tragedy in his village. Further, he made a contract with Claude to take his revenge on Sebastian. The demon who will win the duel will get to consume the young Phantomhive lord’s soul. Meanwhile, Hannah was overlooking this battle, and she was the one who proposed the battle. Because it was one of the conditions of her contract with Alois Trancy. She also presents the demon slayer sword, Lævateinn, and also, the wound inflicted by this sword is impossible for a demon to heal. Hannah leaves the sword for Sebastian and Claude and moves far away with Ciel’s “lifeless” body. The demon sword keeps going back and forth between Sebastian and Claude. Soon, Claude uses his spider-like powers in the cave of the Island of Death to dominate Sebastian. Therefore, Sebastian cuts the island in half with the sword to get out of the cave. Meanwhile, Ciel and Alois were witnessing the duel from a limbo world. Eventually, Sebastian defeats Claude and kills him. Hannah congratulates him on his victory, and it is revealed that Hannah was the real culprit behind the destruction of Alois’s village. Ciel Phantomhive reborns as a demon. Hannah, instead of handing over the body to Sebastian, dives into the ocean with Ciel. She further says that Sebastian would continue to serve his master, but he won’t be “alive”. Sebastian jumps into the ocean after them and kills Ciel as soon as he wakes up. After these events, Sebastian wakes Ciel up from his sleep, and the two get ready to leave. However, Ciel asks Phantomhive staff to do whatever they want to do with the manor, including burning or abandoning it. Later, Ciel reveals that he has been reborn as a demon. Therefore, Sebastian will continue to serve his master until he’s alive, but he will never be able to consume his soul. Further, Alois was the one who ordered Hannah to make Ciel’s soul unconsumable.
