Where do I get surf in Omega Ruby?

As many people know, the region of Hoenn is known for having vast amounts of water. As such, you'll be spending a lot of the time surfing from A to B. While the encounter rate has been decreased, this can be quite labourious. As such, there are a few changes to Surf depending on the Pokmon you use.

In the world of Pokémon, moves can be learned by Pokémon either naturally as they grow and level-up or through the assistance of mysterious machines called TMs and HMs.

Technical Machines (or simply TMs) are used to teach moves that are basically suited for battles. These are mainly used for dishing attacks and defensive maneuvers. There are about 100 TMs in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Hidden Machines (or simply HMs), on the other hand, are essential to the main storyline as they are moves that need to be used to pass certain obstacles and hitches in the game. There are about 7 HMs in in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Together, TMs and HMs encompasses most of the moves that can be learned in-game. You’ll surely obtain all the HMs fast because, as I’ve mentioned, they’re essential to the main storyline. As for TMs, you’ll have to scour the whole region of Hoenn to collect them all.

So, what are you waiting for? This TM and HM location guide shall aid you in your quest to collect them all! Now continue your very own Pokémon adventure in OR/AS and dish-out all the moves you can!
