How 2-way humidity control works

2-way humidity control works by continually responding and adjusting to the outside temperature and climate by either adding or removing humidity as needed to maintain a predetermined level of relative humidity (RH) inside of packages and containers. Maintaining an ideal and constant relative humidity means your product won't lose or gain any moisture. Instead, it'll be maintained at its ideal moisture level throughout its intended shelf-life and/or usage-life. Furthermore, it'll never encounter any moisture fluctuations along the way.

Accuracy to (+/-) 1% by responding to temperature & climate changes
The Humidipak is different than all other technologies. Any product or material placed into a container with a Humidipak inside will be kept at the desired humidity level, +/- 1%. If the humidity in the chamber falls below the desired level, water-vapor will pass into the chamber to restore the humidity. Also, if the humidity is greater than the desired level, the Humidipak will absorb enough of the excess moisture to restore the desired humidity.

Patent-protected technology
Humidipak's 2-way humidity control technology has been awarded several broad-based patents, both U.S. and International, in the field of non-electronic control of relative humidity within enclosed containers and packages. The patented technology is referred to as Humidipak.

Natural, safe and environmentally friendly
The foundation of the technology is based on a property well known to physical chemists. It combines the formulation of a saturated solution of a soluble substance designed to maintain a specific level of relative humidity. The product consists of a gelled, saturated solution that is filled into a pouch (or other form) with very high water-vapor transmission permeability but does not allow liquid-water to pass through or leak into the container.

INFORMATION

Individual product dimensions: 5.25" x 3.5"

Stop adding water to foam, hoses and sponges in your instrument case. 1-way humidifiers require constant attention and could damage your instrument, affect the sound and playability and lead to costly repairs.

Easy-to-use, maintenance-free humidity control for wood instruments—fretted, bowed and woodwinds.

Just slip this replacement Boveda into Boveda fabric holders (included in the Boveda Starter Kit and sold separately). Then nestle in and/or around the instrument. Close the case, then Boveda automatically adds and/or absorbs moisture all around a wood instrument.

Achieves and maintains a constant relative humidity (RH) range of 45% to 55%—the safe zone for wood instruments. Uses only pure water and natural salts sealed inside a leakproof membrane.

Long lasting–Provides humidity control for 2 to 6 months based on your instrument case, time of year and climate. A simple touch test will let you know when it’s time to replace Boveda—it will feel crunchy and rigid.

Recommended for most 3- or 4-season climates (High-Absorbancy Boveda is available separately fo high-humidity climates).

Choose how many—Boveda Size 70 is available in packages of 1, 4, 12 and 20.

Unopened, Boveda can stay fresh for up to 2 years in its overwrap and sealed bags.

Individually wrapped in factory sealed in a high-barrier plastic:

Always insert Boveda into a sleeve of a Boveda fabric holder before placing in an instrument case.

Do not mix different Boveda RH levels within the same instrument case. And do not use Boveda in the same case with other humidification products because they will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of Boveda.

How long does it take for humidity packs to work?

While it may take up to three weeks for the monolayer terp shield to fully form, most consumers notice results in as little as 24 hours! HOW DO I KNOW BOVEDA IS WORKING? Boveda humidity packs start working as soon as they're exposed to air.

Do humidity packs work?

They work very well for keeping the humidity levels stable around your marijuana. A humidity pack is designed to release moisture into the air around it or draw moisture out of the air around it. It is called a two-way humidity control product.

Can you use too many humidity packs?

You cannot use too many Boveda packs. The more you use, the longer they last, but don't mix differing RH levels. Smaller 8-gram Boveda packs are ideal for storing a few cigars in a Ziploc bag for a few days or weeks. Larger 320-gram Boveda packs are also available for large-capacity humidors.

How long do 2

Boveda packs last anywhere from 2 months to 6 months depending on the size of the environment you're humidifying, how many cigars you're storing, and how many packs you're using.
