HBO Max’s And Just Like That… brings back plenty of Sex and the City’s original cast and characters, along with several new, lovable additions. The original HBO series followed four women in their 30s exploring life, love, careers, and friendship in New York City, as told by protagonist Carrie Bradshaw in her weekly column. However, although the revival features three of the original iconic quartet, there are also many significant casting changes.

And Just Like That… is one of HBO Max’s first official TV show revivals, following 2021’s divisive Gossip Girl reboot. The first season of And Just Like That...'s streaming 10-episode half-hour series takes the original main characters back to New York City for a new chapter of their lives, navigating relationships and family in their 50s instead of their 30s. And Just Like That… picks up a little over a decade after Sex and the City 2, which last saw the characters finding happiness in their marriages, families, and careers. While three of the main cast members have returned for And Just Like That… the series is notably absent of Kim Cattrall’s iconic original character Samantha Jones.

With many of Sex and the City’s original cast and characters returning, And Just Like That… is truly a new chapter for the beloved show. Following an 11-year gap since the sequel movies, the revival series will now be able to explore the characters’ struggles with teenage children, new friends, career changes, and the dominating world of dating apps. Sarah Jessica Parker As Carrie Bradshaw

The original star of Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker, is reprising her iconic role as Carrie Bradshaw in And Just Like That… While Carrie was originally known for her famous newspaper column describing the sex lives, friendships, and major life events of her friends in New York City, Carrie’s skills have now translated to the modern-world media. In And Just Like That… Carrie is now using her persona as a regular on a new character’s sex-related podcast. Carrie is still married to Mr. Big in the revival, giving relationship advice and spending time with her best friends in And Just Like That. Parker is also known for her roles in Hocus Pocus, Ed Wood, The First Wives Club, and HBO’s Divorce.

Kristin Davis As Charlotte York Goldenblatt

Kristin Davis returns as Charlotte York Goldenblatt, Sex and the City’s original WASP-y character. Since the Sex and the City 2 movie, Charlotte has been happily married to Harry Goldenblatt with their two daughters, Rose and Lily, who are now grown-up teenagers in And Just Like That… Charlotte is still an art gallerist-turned-homemaker in Sex and the City’s revival series, adjusting to her daughters finding themselves as teens while she embarks on a new chapter in her own life. Davis’ previous roles include Melrose Place, Couples Retreat, and Netflix’s Holiday in the Wild.

Cynthia Nixon As Miranda Hobbes

Iconic lawyer Miranda Hobbes returns in And Just Like That… in which she’s raising her teenage son Brady with her husband Steve Brady. Miranda was last seen relaxing into a job at a new law firm in which she was better appreciated and heard, while also trying to balance her career and home life. While Cynthia Nixon has also made headways outside of acting with her campaign for Governor of New York in 2018, her previous filmography includes Ryan Murphy's Ratched, Amadeus, and A Quiet Passion.

Nicole Ari Parker As Lisa Todd Wexley

Nicole Ari Parker joins Sex and the City’s revival as a new character in the main friend group, Lisa Todd Wexley. Lisa is a documentarian and mother of three children married to successful Manhattan hedge fund banker Herbert. Parker is best known for starring in The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love, Paul Thomas Anderson’s Boogie Nights, Showtime’s Soul Food, and Fox’s soap opera Empire.

Sarita Choudhury As Seema Patel

Another new best friend of Carrie in And Just Like That… is Seema Patel, portrayed by Sarita Choudhury. Seema is a wealthy and single self-made Manhattan high-end real estate agent, fitting in with the affluent and fashion-heightened lifestyles of Sex and the City’s original characters. Choudhary previously starred in Mississippi Masala, M. Night Shyamalan’s Lady in the Water, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, and The Green Knight.

Karen Pittman As Dr. Nya Wallace

Another of Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte’s new acquaintances in And Just Like That… is Dr. Nya Wallace, a highly intelligent law professor at Columbia University. Nya is closest with fellow lawyer Miranda, taking advice from the original character as the younger addition to the cast. Pittman is known for her work on The Morning Show, Luke Cage, and FX’s The Americans.

Sara Ramirez As Che Diaz

Sara Ramirez is the first nonbinary actor and character in Sex and the City’s history, joining the cast as the popular queer, nonbinary podcaster and stand-up comedian Che Diaz. Che is a big-hearted, uplifting friend to Carrie, with Parker’s character frequently appearing on their sex-related podcast. Ramirez is best known for playing Dr. Callie Torres on Grey’s Anatomy as well as their roles on Sofia the First and Madam Secretary.

Chris Noth as Mr. Big/John James Preston: Original series character Mr. Big, whose real name was finally revealed to be John James Preston, returns as Carrie’s husband. Noth is also known for starring as Mike Logan on Law & Order, Peter Florrick on The Good Wife, and William Bishop on The Equalizer reboot.

David Eigenberg as Steve Brady: Eigenberg reprises his role as Miranda’s bartender husband and father of their son Brady Hobbes. Eigenberg has also been featured in NBC’s Chicago Fire as Christopher Herrmann, Garfield, and The Practice as D.A. Harvey Welk.

Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt: Handler returns to portray Harry, Charlotte’s lawyer husband and father to their two now-teenage daughters. Handler is known for starring as Charlie Runkle on Californication, Jacob Warner on Power, and Alan Dershowitz on FX's American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson.

Willie Garson as Stanford Blatch: The late Willie Garson, who sadly passed away shortly before And Just Like That…’s premiere, reprises his recurring role as Carrie’s best friend and talent agent who married Anthony in the movies. Garson was known for his roles as Mozzie on White Collar, Ralph in Little Manhattan, and Gerard Hirsch in the Hawaii Five-0 reboot.

Isaac Cole Powell as George: A new character in Sex and the City’s revival, George is a calm and confident young student at the Fashion Institute of Technology who is unrestricted by gender and fashion norms. Powell was featured in American Horror Story: Death Valley's cast as Troy and Dear Evan Hanson’s movie as Rhys.

Alexa Swinton as Rose Goldenblatt: Charlotte and Harry’s younger daughter, interested in skateboarding. Swinton previously played Piper in Emergence, Maddox at age 11 in Old, and Eva Rhoades in Billions.

Cathy Ang as Lily Goldenblatt: Charlotte and Harry’s older daughter originally adopted from China who is a talented teenage pianist. Ang is best known for voicing the main role of Fei Fei in Netflix’s Over the Moon.

Niall Cunningham as Brady Hobbes: Miranda and Steve’s red-haired teenage son. Cunningham is most notable for portraying Tyler Hughes in the series Life in Pieces as well as Marty Funkhouser’s nephew Kenny in Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino: Original Sex and the City character Anthony returns as Charlotte’s event planner best friend now married to Stanford. Cantone is known for his recurring appearances on Comedy Central programs like Chapelle’s Show, a voice role in Surf’s Up, and playing Terri Romano on Men in Trees.

Cree Cicchino as Luisa Torres: Brady Hobbes’ girlfriend. Cicchino played Marisol Fuentes on Mr. Iglesias, Babe Carano on Game Shakers, and Mim in Netflix’s The Sleepover.

Brenda Vaccaro as Gloria Marquette: Mr. Big’s long-employed and loyal secretary. The Academy Award and Emmy-nominated actress has starred in Midnight Cowboy, Capricorn One, Johnny Bravo, and You Don’t Know Jack.

Ivan Hernandez as Franklyn: Che’s coworker and the sound engineer on their podcast that Carrie appears on. Hernandez played Javier Mendoza on Devious Maids and Henry in Claws.

Christopher Jackson as Herbert Wexley: The successful Manhattan hedge fund banker, father of three, and husband to Lisa. Jackson is best known for starring as George Washington in Hamilton, Benny in the original In The Heights, and Chunk Palmer on CBS’s Bull.

LeRoy McClain as Andre Rashad Wallace: A successful musician and husband of new And Just Like That… character Nya Wallace. McClain’s credits include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Corps, and Rubicon.
