If you go into your Settings > Video Settings and scroll down to Render Distance, is it set to 14?  You could try turning it down if it is and see if that makes a difference.

Yup! I would recommend turning it down like Sarah mentioned, I believe default is 9, but try somewhere between 1-4 to see if that helps and let us know!

It likely has to do with the increased world height and world depth.

Hi, Scar Prism - the first thing to do when encountering problems is to restart your device. Next, you will want to be sure not to open any other apps, and open MC:EE by itself. Al of this assumes you did not install any mods.

If it still isn't quite right, let us know what kind of device, what version of Minecraft and we will try again.

I had a very similar issue this morning. I tried a couple of things like toggling the VSync option in NVIDIA Control Panel, but what ultimately caused it was that my laptop monitor was originally 144 Hertz, and previously, I changed the refresh rate to 60 Hz in the Windows Settings (System -> Display -> Advanced Display -> Refresh Rate).

It appears as if Minecraft Education Edition picks the refresh rate of your monitor, instead of the currently selected refresh rate, and that seems to break the way it updates the game, and thus cause input lag?

There are videos online that show you how to toggle the VSync in the game's files, but I think that's only for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Haven't found anything about disabling VSync in MC:EE

    Hey Mia,

Were you able to turn down Render Distance? Did that help with the issue?

Changing my render distance did nothing. This was already an issue in the main menu, without anything rendered. I could set it to the minimum or the maximum possible framerate but I still got the same input lag. So it seems to be undepending.

I did manage to fix my issue by reverting my refresh rate from 60 back to 144. I suppose the game tries to grab your maximum possible refresh rate instead of the current refresh rate. This then resulted in the game probably mismatching my display's framerate and thus giving me a 1.5-second input delay.

So I fixed it by going into my Windows settings and changing my refresh rate back to 144Hz

I would also try running at 30hz for devices that cannot do higher than 60hz. You monitor and graphics card may be out of sync.

Alicia Goj You may be able to change it via these steps: Is there a way to change the refresh rate from 60Hz to 120Hz on my Pixelbook Go (4K version)? - Google Pixelbook Community
