Will Flumptys 3 have a one night?

Flumpty Bumpty is back again with all of his strange companions. You're his friend, too! ...Aren't you? Join the gang for one last round of "survival hide-and-seek" until the clock strikes 6 AM.

This time, you're armed with little more than a point-and-click camera with a flash, and the room you're staying in is freezing. it's too bad you couldn't bundle up ahead of time.

One Night at Flumpty's 3 is the third and final installment of the One Night at Flumpty's series developed by Jonochrome several years after the last entry. It was released on PC and on mobile devices on October 31, 2021, with console launches coming at a currently unknown later date.

Description[]

The end of the trilogy of FNAF parodies with an egg in them.

One Night at Flumpty's started out as an inside joke and has left more of an impact than I ever anticipated. I'm glad so many people have enjoyed playing these silly games with paper-thin lore.

Many thanks to Scott Cawthon for reaching out to me with the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative and allowing this final installment to become a reality.

Characters[]

  • Flumpty Bumpty
  • Birthday Boy Blam
  • The Redman
  • Grunkfuss the Clown
  • Golden Flumpty
  • Eyesaur
  • The Beavowl

Gameplay[]

The game is set within a building that somewhat resembles a hotel. The setting's rooms are all noticeably red in color, with the exception of your office, which is predominantly blue due to it being frozen (while all other rooms feature a lot of heat, due to fireplaces or candles). The game features a camera system containing seven cameras, six for rooms and one for a vent leading to your office. The game features a temperature system, similar to Freddy Fazbear's Pizzaria Simulator. The temperature decreases overtime by itself, and the player must stay close to a furnace on the left side of their office to keep them warm and survive. The office contains two doors, one is a hallway and the other is a vent on the right side of the room. The player has a camera they can use to flash and scare away any intruders (with some exclusion), however the number of its usage is limited.

Once the normal night is beaten, another new night, Flumpty Night, is unlocked and is required to beat the main game. The game will only feature Flumpty Bumpty, with numerous mechanics from the older games, including closable Doors and Battery Power. New cameras and mechanics will be added throughout the whole night, such as the Exposure Meter.

The Hard Boiled Mode can be unlocked once both of the main nights are beaten.

Development[]

Initially, Scott Cawthon e-mailed Jonochrome to ask if he is interested to bringing the Flumpty's series to his project, The Fazbear Fanverse. Jonochrome found the e-mail in the trash folder, and had luckily e-mailed him in time[1]. Thus, One Night at Flumpty's 3 began its development. The game was then publicly announced along with the announcement of The Fazbear Fanvese on August 22nd, 2020.

It didn't take long for the game to finish being developed, as the game was "more or less finished" on 7th November, and what was left at that moment was the porting by Clickteam[2], however the process of this takes a long while, thus a 2020 release is still not possible[3].

The game was finally released on October 31, 2021 on PC, iOS and Android.

Trivia[]

  • Some of the mechanics in the game are brought back from Jonochrome's cancelled One Week at Flumpty's, which was supposed to be the third and final entry of the series.
    • The mechanics in question ended up being photographs, laser doors and rooms moving position. This means the only mechanic that was to be introduced in One Week at Flumpty's that didn't make it in this game was the rotating hallways.
      • A hallway, however, resembles the One Week at Flumpty's hallways during the Flumpty Night and the Hard Boiled Mode.
  • The time gap between the last game in the series and this game is 6 years.
  • The game references the previous installments numerous times.
    • The poster of a dog from the first game and the painting of a historical figure from the second game both appear in your office.
    • A frame from an animation by Jonochrome titled "One Week at Flumpty's" depicting Flumpty appears next to the furnace in your office.
    • The song in Hard Boiled Mode is the song from FNAF3 that plays during the Shadow Bonnie minigame, similar to One Night at Flumpty's 2's Hard Boiled Mode, where the Toreador March played.
  • The Flumpty Night is a recreation of the original idea for the first game, where all characters are variations of Flumpty.
