  In July we signed a contract. Darrell said he would start in September and the day after Labor day his crew showed up and started building the breeze way for the new tiny house. By the end of the week the breeze way was built and footers were poured for the house. The next weekend block was laid. Framing started within the minimum time allowed for block to cure. His crew had it framed, roofed, and windows in by the end of September. After the framing was completed my wife and I decided there was not enough room on first floor for a bedroom. We were thinking of adding a bedroom in basement. Darrell recommended we add bedroom to the side of the building. Good decision. He had the 12' X 12' addition framed and roofed within two days. This was done in middle of October. Rough plumbing was started and completed within a week along with rough electrical which took about two days. Building was insulated as soon as rough ins were completed which took one day. Drywall followed right after the insulation was done. Drywall was completed around Halloween. Initial painting took about a week and then floor installed. This was completed by Thanksgiving. Finished plumbing and electrical completed around 1st of December. Touch up painting and hvac were completed by 2nd week of December. Daughter and grandkids moved in new tiny house December 23. Merry Christmas. Darrell time line is impeccable

  I purchased a 30 year old lake house and all of the original sliders had lost their seals and were cloudy. only one of the sliders operated correctly. since the lake view was the focus the doors all opened to the view. I wanted french doors but Darrell suggested the french sliders for price and function and to save floor space. They were a great choice. He also chose matching windows that are nearly the same size as the doors for some of the openings since there were 4 doors originally in the same room. The look is stunning and none of the view was sacrificed. The openings were not the same as the original openings were so there was exterior and interior wall replacement and patching to be done around the windows. The house also had LAMINATE flooring on the ceilings! Since the main floor great room opened to the other rooms on the floor all of the ceilings had to be replaced.. I was looking for the cottage look so we went with tongue and groove, painted white, with beams in the larger room. The new ceilings and the new doors and windows have transformed this house. Mr fix it had also replaced the two baths in the house earlier in the summer so the house has become so much more than what it was when I bought it. I have received estimate to replace some of the decks as well and I plan to do so after my finances have had a chance to recover. I have enjoyed working with the crew at Mr. Fix It. Darrell has some great employees and most have been with him for years. My job was completed on time with few problems. After completion I complained about the outside siding where the windows were replaced and he sent a crew out to make it right. I feel that Darrell Dunn truly cares about the finished product and even more about his customers satisfaction and I look forward to working with him in the future

"<p>My Mother's house needed a new roof and we called Michael Higgins at Snowden's Roofing. Mr. Higgins arrived promptly for the estimate. He was very personable and told us what to expect and what he would do. We were impressed with his professionalism from the beginning.&nbsp; He told us an estimated price that he thought it would cost, and then told us he would contact or email us the exact estimate with a list of what was to be completed. He also mentioned a better type of shingle which was only slightly more expensive (about $80 more- well worth it, we thought). The next day Mom received an email with everything listed and the exact cost, which was what Mr. Higgins had estimated.&nbsp; The work was scheduled and all details were worked out. The materials arrived the day before the job was to be completed (which we were told would happen.) The roofers arrived on time, were very polite, worked hard throughout the day and cleaned up as they went. After the work was completed, Mr. Higgins personally inspected the roof to make sure everything was correct and that we were satisfied with the job. </p>
