Who is kelly clarksons ex-husband

Kelly Clarkson is trying to move forward now that her divorce is done and settled, but there is someone who won’t let: her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. He seems to be more interested in dragging her back to court any chance he can get, but he might finally be out of her hair (at least for now).

After dragging his heels on moving out of her Montana ranch, Us Weekly confirmed that the former music manager has finally left her residence. There was a court order mandating his exit by June 1, something he reportedly “wanted to fight,” but “was ultimately talked out of it,” according to the media outlet’s source. Why won’t Blackstock step back and let Clarkson live her best life? Well, he doesn’t seem to think he got his fair share in the divorce settlement and “is always asking for more and being a constant thorn in her side,” the insider added.

Let’s remember that he’s receiving $115,000 in alimony until January 2024, plus he gets $45,601 in child support for their two kids, River, 8, and Remington, 6, even though Clarkson has primary custody. Once the talk show host sells the Montana ranch — which she’s been dying to do for ages — he will receive approximately $908,800 since the property is worth about $17,750,000. That’s because he fought for, and won, 5.12 percent of the land during their court battle.

It’s hard to predict what move Blackstock will make next since he lost his last music client in 2021 after Blake Shelton sided with Clarkson in the divorce, and he told the court he’s now becoming a rancher. Without Clarkson’s ranch at his disposal, it’s unclear how he’s going to proceed, but we hope he doesn’t include Clarkson in his plans.

Brandon Blackstock has purchased a $1.8 million home in Butte, Montana after moving out of the ranch he once shared with ex-wife Kelly Clarkson.

Blackstock, 45, bought the stunning property this past April 18, following the finalization of his split with Clarkson, 40, US Weekly reported after reviewing a deed transfer on the property.

The home was listed for $1.8 million by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Montana Properties, and it was not immediately clear how much Blackstock paid for the property.

According to Berkshire Hathaway, the four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home is spread over 4,800 sq. feet spread on a property over 40 acres.

The home's living room area has vaulted ceilings and exposed beams with custom finish. The property has a DaVinci fireplace and exquisite views via large windows.

A kitchen area in the home has state-of-the-art appliances with a copper sink, countertops made of quartz and a butler’s pantry with a wine refrigerator.

Among the amenities of the abode include a safe/vault room in addition to a steam room. Other features on the ranch include a barn with a loft and tack room, and a greenhouse.

Clarkson in March agreed to a divorce settlement with Blackstock that set forth their custody, financial and property arrangements

The home has a paved driveway that extend from a three-car garage to a maintained county road.

Blackstock, a music manager, is looking to leave show business and focus his efforts on cattle ranching, as he changed the name of his business to to V Bar V Cattle Co, as it was previously known as Vintage Valley Ranch, according to the outlet.

The Fort Worth, Texas native left the Montana mansion he previously shared with Clarkson earlier this month, the outlet reported.

A Clarkson insider previously told the outlet that the former couple had 'clashed on so many levels and being in quarantine together heightened their problems to the point of no return ... Brandon’s very laid-back, whereas Kelly’s pretty high-strung.'

The Montana ranch they lived in was among the issues they clashed on, as Clarkson was unsuccessful in her efforts to sell the property last August because Blackstock had resided there, and her subsequent attempts to have Blackstock evicted last November.

A source told the outlet in December that Clarkson 'had a major legal setback in a bid to get Brandon evicted from the Montana property that the judge awarded solely to her.'

Blackstock 'has been living in it and said he doesn’t have the financial means to afford to purchase a residence of his own at this time, citing the unresolved financial aspect of their divorce.'

The former couple eventually settled their divorce this past March, with the judge stipulating that Blackstock could stay there until June but would have to pay Clarkson $12,500 each month for rent.

Clarkson received primary custody of their two children, River, eight, and Remington, six, and must pay Blackstock $115,000 in monthly spousal support through January of 2024, as well as $45,600 in child support.

The Montana ranch drama between Kelly Clarkson and ex-husband Brandon Blackstock may finally be coming to an end, with the June 1, 2022 deadline for the music manager to move out quickly approaching. However, the property is remaining a point of contention until the bitter end. In the weeks before Blackstock was ordered to be off the property, the former couple was back in court after he made one last demand.

Kelly Clarkson was deemed the sole owner of the ranch in Montana during the couple’s long and nasty divorce. However, the fight continued when the former coach of The Voice said she wanted to sell the property, and Brandon Blackstock wanted to continue living there. Ultimately a settlement was reached that gave Reba McEntire’s stepson until June 1 to find another place to live. In the weeks leading up to that deadline, however, Blackstock had his ex-wife back in court, according to legal documents, ordering that she turn off the security cameras while he was still living there:

Petitioner, KELLY BLACKSTOCK ('Petitioner') shall forthwith turn off all web-cams, trail cams, and any other security cameras at [address], which are now approximately 13 in total, pending the further hearing … Petitioner’s counsel shall forthwith send verification to Respondent, BRANDON BLACKSTOCK’s ('Respondent') counsel that all web-cams, trail cams, and any other security cameras at the Ranch have been turned off. Petitioner’s counsel shall further advise and specify how that was accomplished.

The court documents (via The Blast) reportedly did not specify any events that led to the request or if Brandon Blackstock had reason to believe Kelly Clarkson was accessing the security footage. The Blast’s sources say it was simply about privacy, with Blackstock wanting to live his own life without Clarkson being able to watch him. All cameras were allegedly pointed at the home’s exterior, with none showing the inside of the residence.

Around the time of this court order, the daytime talk show host shared a bewildering photo of a black hole that appeared in the ground of her Montana ranch. While Kelly Clarkson joked about it being an Outer Range situation, many fans warned her to keep her distance — be it for practical reasons like a possible sinkhole, or for theories a little more sci-fi in nature.

I’m not sure what a black hole like that does to property values, but regardless, if Kelly Clarkson still wants to sell the ranch, she will presumably be able to do that and whatever she wants — including with the security cameras — in the coming days.

As part of the divorce settlement, it was ruled the former American Idol winner would pay her ex-husband 5.12% of the property value (approximately $908,000), and he would have until June 1 to find another place to live. In that time he was required to pay around $12,000 a month and cover all the utilities. Brandon Blackstock would also receive a one-time, tax-free payment in the amount of $1,326,161 from his ex, as well as $115,000 per month in spousal support.

That ranch has been a big part of Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s divorce, and nobody could blame her for wanting to move forward. Only time will tell if the drama is truly over. Meanwhile, Clarkson is moving forward in other aspects of her life. She changed her legal last name from Blackstock to Brianne, though she will continue to use Clarkson professionally, and she’s preparing a full revamp of The Kelly Clarkson Show as she takes over the time slot vacated by The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
