Why is Carp not racing on Street Outlaws

Doughboy has been missing from the Discovery Channel's show because he is believed to be hiding out for reasons that have yet to be revealed in public. On social media, there are numerous fan theories speculating on what happened to the show's popular fixture. According to a recent Reddit post, fans of the reality show have many theories for his sudden disappearance. One user claimed that the series regular was involved in legal issues that prevented him from appearing on the show in the forum. Some claim to have seen Doughboy standing behind a trailer in a previous episode. Furthermore, the user assumed that there were some issues that prevented him from appearing in the show or that the show would address his absence. Scroll down to find out where is Doughboy from MSO.

Where Is Doughboy From MSO?

Doughboy, real name Josh Day, has gone missing from the Discovery Channel's Street Outlaws. The reality star has been missing from the show, and numerous people have taken to social media to presume about his whereabouts. Another person on Reddit lately posted rumors that Doughboy was involved in legal issues that averted him from appearing on camera for the series. They said,  "I heard he had some legal issues that kept him from doing the show. And the reason his wife is around is that she’s Precious’s sister.” Another person participated in a print of them and Doughboy from June 2020 on Twitter, writing, “Me with Doughboy from Memphis Street outlaws.” Doughboy reportedly injured a slice in his reverse, which is why he hasn't appeared on the show, according to cast member JJ Da Boss. It's unclear whether or not the accident passed.

Josh Day, also known as "Doughboy" on the streets, is JJ Da Boss' eldest son. Doughboy became an integral part of the show's core cast and appeared consistently across the first four seasons because the show primarily revolves around JJ's friends and family in Memphis. We saw Doughboy compete in his first underground street racing in the second episode of 'Street Outlaws: Memphis,' as he decided to follow in his father's footsteps. After some initial difficulties, he quickly established himself as a capable driver and won the hearts of the viewers. Doughboy's interest in cars and racing began at a young age, according to sources. However, in his early days, he wrecked his first car, a 1964 Chevy Nova. Later, he began racing in a '62 Impala, which he refers to as Debo, and the car has become an extension of his character on the show. That is also thought to be the car he used in his first race, which was documented in the second episode of the show.

Where Is Doughboy From MSO Now?

While there is no confirmation on what is preventing Doughboy from appearing on the show, some speculate that his alleged legal issues have landed him in jail. However, this appears to be pure speculation, with no evidence to back up these claims. Doughboy, on the other hand, was involved in a car accident that was documented in the show's second season. As a result, it is more likely that Doughboy is being kept off the streets due to injuries sustained in another accident. The racer prefers to keep his personal life private and hasn't updated his social media in a few years. Chelsea Day, Doughboy's wife, continues to appear on the show. Some accompanied by an increasing he can be seen briefly near the end of Season 5's seventh episode, indicating that Doughboy is still alive and well in Memphis. It's probable he's nowadays staying at home to care for his children and spend more time with his family rather than racing. Whatever the reason for Doughboy's nonattendance, he will most likely be back on the road soon.

Memphis Street Outlaws

Street Outlaws is a Discovery Channel docu-reality series about street racing. According to the show's description, "racers boast having the fastest street cars in the country, and they say racing comes first — before family, friends, and work." "From a 1969 Chevy Nova to a race-ready farm truck, the vehicles – and their drivers – come in all shapes and sizes, but they all share one thing: a need for speed." Street Outlaws premiered in 2013 and has since spawned over 140 episodes and various spin-offs. 'Street Outlaws' is a reality television series that captures the drag racing/street racing culture with flair and delivers high-octane action to fans. However, the interpersonal conflicts among the cast mates, as well as their outlandish personal qualities, provide this car with the fuel it needs to go to the location. Naturally, fans obsess over their favorite cast members and keep track of their whereabouts on a regular basis.

When we Google “Street Outlaws: Fastest in America,” the description goes as follows: “Eight of the fastest teams in the U.S. descend on Memphis to compete for the biggest street race yet, for a prize of $100,000.”

However, lots of fans have noticed that the 405 hasn’t been present on the show. Oklahoma City is widely regarded as the street racing hub of the world. Everyone has their opinion and some might not agree that the 405 is the fastest area code. However, discluding them from the list of the most prominent areas for racing would be downright asinine.

Apparently, the powers behind the show decided that this would be the way that things would go, though. The 405 wasn’t to be invited to compete to be “The Fastest in America.”

Along the way, it turns out that a couple of guys from the 405 caught wind of the production. It surely was an odd set of circumstances. Apparently, leading up to the show, the 405 was given no direct communication that the show was even going to happen. It seems like they only found out about it because of a chance Facebook encounters.

This time, an interview from Sim ABCXYZ on YouTube dives into how it all went down. We could see something like this coming down to a situation where people didn’t see eye to eye on details. However, the fact that the 405 didn’t even know what was happening is pretty odd. It really stood to create a situation where the fans wanted answers.

In the interview, Big Chief reminds us that he can only speak for himself. What he does say, though, is that he was never really approached about the show at first. When he did catch wind of it through a post on the DNR Auto Facebook page looking for racers, he was ready to sign up. Little did he know that the race was a Discovery Channel production.

Eventually, an invite was extended but then things just seemed to get crazier. There are too many ins and outs here to explain them all. Therefore, we will leave it to Chief in the video below to lay out exactly what happened.

When fans tuned in to new episodes of Street Outlaws, to see Big Chief and others duke it out on the concrete, many were surprised to find that the famed racer wasn't on the show. It appears as though Big Chief and Precious, a fellow racer, got into a fight while filming the first episode of the new season, according to Reality Titbit.

Justin Carpenter, or “Carp” as he’s known in these parts, is a born and bred racer. He’s known JJ for as long as he can remember, helping him both on the streets and in the shop.
