Video Transcript

Okay, so i'm going to kind of write out of a chart that compares and contrasts pro caryatic cells with, u critic cells. So, let's start off with some pretty basic ones. So the nucleus is absent in procaryotic cells and it is present in you. Caryotprocaryotic cells are unicellular, caryotic cells are multicellular, membrane, bound, organel's are absent in pro caryatic cells and then membrane bound organise are present in your carryodic cells. So that is things like the microtubials lysosomes mino chondria, the procharotic cells, the sido skeleton is absent. It is present in the u carnic cells in prochronic cells. Rhibosomes are smaller, so that means that they are larger in necrotic cells, 1 thing that they are similar in the vesicles are present in both in prochronic cells. Chloroplasts are absent, they're present in eucharonic souls, so procaortic cells, sexual reproduction is absent. It is present in nu, kariotic cells and some examples of pro caryatic cells will be bacteria or arch examples of u caryatic cells would be protests, fungi plants and animals, and there you go there. Some comparisons and contrasting facts about propionic cells versus caryatic cells,

Amoeba Sisters video recap prokaryotes and eukaryotes answer key

How do you remember prokaryotes and eukaryotes?

While initially, it can be confusing to remember the difference between prokaryotes vs eukaryotes, one of the main ways to remember is to look at the words themselves. Pro (before) and kary (nucleus) refer to not having a nucleus. Eu (true) and kary (nucleus) refer to having a nucleus.

Is amoeba cell prokaryotic or eukaryotic?

Prokaryotes are organisms which do not have a well-defined nucleus and are unicellular. Their DNA is generally circular. Amoeba is a single-celled eukaryotic organism and has a well-defined nucleus.

What are the three statements mentioned in the video that are included in the cell theory?

Parts of Cell Theory: The Three Principles 1) All living things are made up of cells. 2) A cell is the smallest unit of structure and function in a living thing. 3) All cells arise from preexisting cells.

What are the main similarities between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells?

Similarities between Prokaryotic vs Eukaryotic Cells In both types of cells, DNA exists that relates to genes. The cell wall is present in both. In both, there are four types of major molecules that are common to both. The process of DNA copying is similar in both.
