Buying in advance allows me to do so for most shows. If I am going to sink $50-$75for a discount ticket I would just as soon pay the premium and get the seats I want. However, your seating choices may be extremely limited. This is really important, as the difference in seating between a ticket at the top price tier and one in the 2nd tier purchased in advance is often just a couple of rows. Also one very important thing to remember: If a show offers tickets at $150 and some at $80, which tickets do you think sell out 1st? Right. So often when you wait or go to the discount booths the only tickets left are in the $150 group. Also, you need to keep in mind that the most expensive seats are not always the "best" seats for viewing, especially for some of the CDS shows - in particular Ka andMystere. If there is a specific show you want to see and want to sit in a specific spot, then I would buy them online. If not, there are a few discount ticket booths around like Tix4tonite that will give you some great discounts and they usually have tickets to most shows.
