"I am wondering whether to pre purchase tickets to las vegas shows or buy them at the door the night of the show." - Pre purchase ensures you have seats for any must see shows, buying on the door on the night may limit seat choice as well as being more expensive but it all depends on which show you want to see.

I like to sit up close and on the end of an aisle if possible. Buying in advance allows me to do so for most shows. If I am going to sink $50-$75for a discount ticket I would just as soon pay the premium and get the seats I want. Plus, you can often find really good seats in the second price tier if you buy in advance.

The only benefit to waiting until you get to the show to purchase tickets is the possible chance of saving some money. However, your seating choices may be extremely limited. There are plenty of discounts to be found online to help save some money, plus purchasing in advance allows you a better chance to choose seats that you will like.

This is really important, as the difference in seating between a ticket at the top price tier and one in the 2nd tier purchased in advance is often just a couple of rows.

Also one very important thing to remember: If a show offers tickets at $150 and some at $80, which tickets do you think sell out 1st? Right. So often when you wait or go to the discount booths the only tickets left are in the $150 group. And even with a discount you will still end up spending more than if you had pruchased the lower tiered tickets in advance.

Book in advance for the shows you WANT to see: maybe wait for the shows you might LIKE to see.

Also, you need to keep in mind that the most expensive seats are not always the "best" seats for viewing, especially for some of the CDS shows - in particular Ka andMystere. Booking early therefore gives you the best options to pick your seats, save some money and still enjoy the shows.

Depends. If there is a specific show you want to see and want to sit in a specific spot, then I would buy them online. If not, there are a few discount ticket booths around like Tix4tonite that will give you some great discounts and they usually have tickets to most shows. I will mention that December is not a great month to see shows as some of them are on vacation. But, other than that, you should be good to go.

I, too, like to book in advance. I like really good seats. I you wait till you get there, you may not get the seats you want. Enjoy your trip!

Can you save money by buying tickets at the box office?

Buying Tickets in Person Avoids the Fees By buying tickets in-person, at the box office, you can avoid paying the ticketing fees. If you are buying just two tickets, then the fees are not going to be that high and it may be worth paying for the convenience of buying online (or over the phone).

Do you pay a service fee at the box office?

Of course! Any time a ticket is purchased with a credit card (whether online, or in person at the box office), the patron pays a per ticket service fee.

How does box office tickets work?

Most venues offer Box Office collection, which means that you can pick your tickets up in person when you arrive at the event. When will my tickets be ready to collect? Tickets will be available to collect on the day of the event - usually an hour before the event starts.
