I didn't see anything on this sub about probably my favorite skincare product, so I thought I'd post a rave/review.

Some background on my skin: I'm pretty tan, and acne throughout my early to mid teens left me with a plethora of acne marks- no bumps or anything, but just dark spots in place of the acne that took 1 year+ to go away on their own.

Burts Bees Dark Spot Correcter worked in how long it said it would- 8 weeks. A lot of alone reviews of the product follow, "I've been using this for a month and nothing's happen, very disappointed". Well, yeah, the bottle says you need to use it for two months. My spots did not go away completely, because after the first bottle ran out (before 3 months) I was too lazy to buy another until now, but there was definitely a significant and noticeable reduction of how dark the spots were.

I just bought this because I'd been looking for a spot treatment, but it was kind of an impulse buy since I hadn't done any research on this specific product and now that I've purchased it I'm finding information on it scarce. Could someone take a look at it and give me their opinions?

If you've had specific experience with it that's a great plus. I just want to feel like I'm not damaging my skin apricot scrub style before using it.

P.m. routine Ponds cold cream makeup remover (only on and around my eyes) Neutrogena makeup wipes I rotate Burt’s bees brightening daily facial cleanser and PanOxyl face wash Thayers witch hazel lavender as a toner The Ordinary Lactic acid 5% + HA 2% Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus radiance serum Cosrx Advanced snail 96 mucin power essence Neutrogena deep moisture night cream

Masks I use: I use The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling solution once a week! Peter Thomas Roth sulfur mask (super expensive but lasts forever and I only use it as a spot treatment)

Also a HUGE part of healing my skin was diet and lifestyle change! I am mostly paleo based! I definitely have my cheat days because I love bread. But I cut out a lot of sugar, dairy, and carbs! And when I say I cut those things out I still have them every now and then in moderation. I eat a lot of eggs, veggies, fruits, and meat! Just trying to eat mostly WHOLE foods! I still eat brown rice, gluten free waffles and pasta. Probiotics changed my life. Kombuchas and probiotic drinks saved my skin.

p.s. this diet change worked for me, but everyone’s body is different! I recommend getting a food sensitivities test done by your doctor to see what foods might be causing inflammation for you!
