How it works

If the sender includes your email address, mobile phone number or Australia Post Customer Number (APCN) in the shipping details we'll send you updates2 along the way.

Your parcels will also appear on the track list in your MyPost account. 

When collection points are available, simply follow the prompts to manage your delivery.

Missed a delivery?

If you're not home to sign for a delivery or there's no safe place to leave your parcel3, we'll take it to the nearest Post Office.

You'll have 10 business days to collect it before it’s returned to the sender.

1  Terms and conditions apply. The service is only available for deliveries to an address that is accessible and to a requested delivery location where it is safe to leave parcels. Parcels that do not require a signature will be left in a place our delivery drivers deem to be safe.’ This will need to be displayed at the bottom of the page.

2 Parcel redirection is only available for parcels in transit and addressed to a street address. Additionally, the shipping information provided by the sender must include your registered email address, mobile number, or other details that allow us to match the parcel to your MyPost account. Changing your delivery address may result in a delay in delivery, depending on the location.

If you've already completed your purchase but need to make a change to your address or delivery details, contact the seller as soon as possible to let them know.

If the seller has already sent your package, they won't be able to make changes to your order. If possible, try to collect your item from the address used at checkout.

Changing your delivery address after you've bought an item

Sellers generally can't change the delivery address that you provided at checkout. If they haven't yet sent the item, the best thing to do is to ask the seller to cancel the transaction, then buy the item again with the correct delivery address.

If you made your purchase in the last hour, you can ask the seller to cancel the order by selecting the 'Cancel order' button below.

Once you've asked a seller to cancel the order, they can either accept or decline your request within 3 calendar days.

If the seller accepts, we'll send a confirmation of the cancellation to both your registered email address and your eBay Messages - opens in new window or tab.

If the seller declines, or has already sent your order, the package will be sent to the address you originally selected.

If the seller doesn't respond within the 3 calendar days, and you haven't paid yet, the order will be automatically cancelled.

If it's been more than an hour since your purchase, you'll need to contact the seller and ask them to cancel it for you. Here's how:

  1. Go to Purchase history - opens in new window or tab, and find the order you want to cancel.
  2. From the More actions drop-down, choose Contact seller.
  3. Choose Request to cancel this order, and then Contact the seller.
  4. Explain to the seller why you need to cancel, and select Send.

If the seller has already sent your order, or if they don't accept the cancellation, the package will be sent to the address you originally selected.

Changing the delivery method after you've bought an item

If the seller hasn't yet sent your package, you can ask them if it's possible to change the delivery method. If they agree, you may need to send extra payment for an express or tracked option.

If the seller isn't willing to change the delivery method, you can ask them to cancel the order using the button above, and buy the item again with the correct delivery method.

Changing your delivery details at checkout

When you're buying an item, we'll automatically enter your primary delivery address in the Send to field at checkout.

If it's incorrect, or if you want the item sent to a different address, select Change. You can then edit the address, select a different address, or add a new address.

Before completing your purchase, always double-check that your address and delivery method are correct.

Is there a way to change shipping address after shipped?

For a fee, USPS Package Intercept® lets the sender or recipient stop delivery or redirect a package, letter, or flat that is not out for delivery or already delivered. Most domestic mailings with a tracking or extra services barcode are eligible for Package Intercept. You can only request a Package Intercept online.

What do I do if I had something shipped to the wrong address?

Contact the courier company – The first thing you should do is to contact the courier company directly. Courier companies have internal systems that can check the delivery status. After they see who signed for receiving the package, you can ask the company to resend the package to you.

Can I change my address after placing an order?

At this time, we can't change your delivery address once the order has been processed. If your order hasn't been processed yet, you can file a cancellation request. Then, you can place a new order with the correct address.

Can you update shipping address?

Go to USPS.com/move to change your address online. This is the fastest and easiest way, and you immediately get an email confirming the change. There is a $1.10 charge to change your address online.
