Can Steam and epic play together rdr2?

Epic Games and Steam are the top two sites for legally downloading PC video games in 2020. They're major competitors in that sense, but that doesn't stop the two sites from allowing players to play against each other. Games purchased from either site put their players in the same multiplayer servers. The way it works varies from game to game, but the feature absolutely exists.

Steam has been the most well-known gaming distribution site for over 10 years. The year after it launched, 2004, Steam released 7 games. This year it released over 8,000. It's got chat features and a new Steam news hub. The site's growth allowed almost unrivaled expansion in the past decade, until a pesky shooter with a free-to-play multiplayer came along in 2017. Fortnite completely changed the online gaming distribution scene when it brought hundreds of millions of gamers to the Epic Games store. That one game alone was enough to convince many to download the Epic Games Store, Fortnite's exclusive distributor. Epic has followed up Fortnite with a couple of other impressive free releases, but still relies on the cartoon shooter as its top product.

Steam and Epic Games often sell keys for the same games, like Rocket League, GTA V, and Football Manager 2020. Once a player gets the key to a game from either store, they are allowed into the purchased game. Essentially, its two different trails to the same end goal. There might be different launchers between a Steam and Epic Games version of a title, but once inside a game, it's all the same.

Does Red Dead Online Standalone have cross platform multiplayer?

Red Dead Online Standalone does not have crossplay or cross platform multiplayer.

There is no crossplay or cross platform multiplayer in Red Dead Online Standalone, which may disappoint newcomers looking to visit the Wild West.

The inability to play with friends on other platforms and consoles isn’t surprising as it’s not available in Grand Theft Auto V either.

Still, the lack of crossplay isn’t fantastic news as – speaking from a PlayStation perspective – the Online world is often barren and devoid of players to mess around with.
