Can you lose bought cars in GTA?

Q: Can you permanently lose a car in GTA 5?

If you get out of it and leave the car, its gone forever and wont respawn or go back to the garage. You also cant destroy it either, because it wont come back from that. If you want to save it, youll have to drive it into any of your purchased garages.

On GTA Online, you should get a tracker and insurance on your car. Then if it were to be destroyed, you could pay the insurance to replace the car. If another player destroys it, they automatically pay the insurance and you can get the car back for free. All you have to do is call Mors Mutual. And if you lost it, you could get your mechanic to deliver it to you or you can look for it on the map.

On GTA V Story mode, if you destroy it you cant get it back and it gets scrapped, if you lose it or get too far from it, then your car goes to the impound the picture on the map is of a white car the impound is there

Also for both, if you get caught by the police while running in the car, it will be impounded. (On GTA V you have to buy it back, and on GTA Online, you can either steal it back or stand at the gate and pay to get it back. And a little tip, if you get the car delivered to you or store it in the garage (then leave and reenter the garage), then it will be automatically repaired for free.

Single player: if it's not taken out of the impound lot in time it will be destroyed, and cannot be respawned. learned this the hard way after spending 300K on a nice car,

gtao: your destroyed car can be replaced by calling the insurance company. however you will be required to pick it up.

If you wreck it dies it respawn? And same question wth cars you put I storage...I'd you wreck them do they reappear like the characters main cars?

i don't think it will re spawn if they get destroyed.

you cannot use any vehicle daily unless you store it in the garage excluding the default cars. If you buy a car and wreck it. You can get it fixed and store it for future use. If it explodes, than say bye to it.

Thanks! Also, what's the difference between storing cars and bicycles in garages or hideout? (I wrote hideout, but I have no idea whether or not this word is the one used in the game since I play the whole thing in French... :P )

I bought the 3000$ bike and parked it for a mission and I ended up losing it... I'm not quite sure how the system work when we enter a mission with a car or a bike.

I bought a tank and it blew up. It still respawns at the hangar. Maybe tanks respawn, haven't bought any cars yet. But I can confirm tanks respawn.

tanks/planes/helicopters respawn when you leave it somewhere or blow it up, i cant say what happens with cars. maybe they get sent to the impound lot?

I know for michael you can park a car in his garage and It'll be there until you move it out, same with the other characters only you have to park it in their driveway. Storing the in the Garages is the same thing, they'll always be there as long as you bring it back.

You dont want to take a bought car into a mission. Most of the time it will disappear.

That's most likely because it's a special vehicle. Same as a boat or plane. As long as you have a hangar or pier. They will always respawn.

I had thought that if you buy a car and it is destroyed, you can still reselect it from the menu at your garage. Is this not true? There are a lot of different explanations going around, so I'm not sure what's true and what's false.

it is not true the menu at the garage is only for special vehicles.

A clarification. It should be noted that personal vehicles will never disappear for good, such as Michael's Tailgator. These cars will always respawn in a specific location, so players never have to worry about losing them. However, they could potentially lose other cars they collect.

If your vehicle was impounded by the police, you can recover it by either breaking in and stealing it or going to the gate and paying the fee. If you steal it, you risk being caught by the police again since you'll automatically be wanted.
